Walking dead on next gen consoles? THIS COULD BE AN ISSUE!

edited January 2013 in The Walking Dead
I have heard the ps4 and Xbox 720 will be released around November 2013. I'm thinking it true but will next gen consoles affect the walking dead season 2? Maybe telltale will change the release of the season 2, or if the walking dead season 2 is released on ps3 or Xbox 360 the next gen consoles will affect its sales. To me this is becoming an issue and I think next generation consoles will affect the walking dead game series (I'm hoping it won't). What do you think?

    Why is this an issue?

Older gen consoles don't just "die" or lose support the moment a new gen is issued.

I don't see how this is a problem, and besides, Xbox 360 and PS3 will last a couple more years at least, by then, we should have Season 2 on the current gen too.

Not really an issue. There's not going to be much of a difference in power, anyway. Sony and Microsoft also handle their online features with a little more care than Nintendo does when it comes to releasing and holding rights to games.

I'm still pissed about Donkey Kong Country.

Wait what does that have to do with anything.

The first year of a consoles life cycle is usually the weakest in terms of actual games to play.

Remember back to the days of the ps2, and xbox. Even though it's next gen brothers were already released, people still continued to play on there ps2's and xbox's for countless years, and many game developers continued to publish games for those particular system. Hell, some of the best games were released during this period.

So, anyways, even if season 2 is released in 2014 this should be no issue. Sales won't be affected (since there is a larger user base of xbox 360 owners/ps3 owners compared to next gen users)

If TT doesn't improve their engine - and it's very likely that they won't do it - the PS4/XBOX720 versions of future TT games will be the same of PS3/XBOX360.

The engine has been improved with every release. Slick graphics aren't the be all and end all of a game engine.

The graphics are stylised so they don't exactly need to look at its best or anything, they look spectacular, nevertheless.
