You in TWD

Sometimes i like to think of comics as alternate realities like Dc/Marvel has the mutli-verse. The Walking Dead is no exception i like to think that since its an alternate universe that i exist somewhere. I just wonder where.

But where do you think you would be? Would you be in a group surviving or will you walk among the dead?

I'm an optimist so I wouldn't really want to think about becoming a walker xD

I think I would be in a group surviving, a small group, hopefully with a good leader(probably Comic Rick) and adults with some military experience or any experience that can help with survival.

I'm in the military, own weapons (no guns but I know people who do own them, and I know my way with a knife decently), and I have some experience in the past with free-running. So I think I'd have a decent shot. I think it's more an issue of being caught off guard. Caught off guard, I'd be fucked most likely. Like, if I'm sitting here typing, and some crazy zed comes sprinting through the joined bathroom in the barracks where I am, I'd probably just freak out, hope I get lucky punching and kicking them en route to getting my knife, then get it. After that, I have a good shot. If I have early warning, same thing. But making it past that bit would be...sketchy.

I'm in the giant russian forest, near countryside. Guns are forbidden for the civillian population in Russia, but I have a professional sports bow, arrows, and a combat knife. Now I shoot well. I know how to make arrows, the best arrows are obtained from the walnut tree, feathers must to be big as a chicken feathers for example. I and two more survivors, hunting, picking mushrooms and berries, and sometimes robbing a shop in the village

With good reason. I live in a highly populated area and my best weapons are a baseball bat and a two inch switchblade knife. And I don't know a single person who owns a gun.

Although I'd like to think otherwise, I'd probably die. I can actually shoot decently (don't know how I'd do against walking targets, I'd probably suck) but I don't know a single person that actually owns a firearm. I don't really have any weapons nor would I be capable of using a weapon with any kind of efficiency outside a gun.

There's only two options for me:

    - Or I would be really late in noticing the zombies, seeing I'll be sitting on my couch stoned, with my curtains closed. It'll be a Rick Grimes kinda moment where I'll go outside and think: WTF? ... or maybe rather Shaun of the Dead style.

    - Or I'll be dead meat within seconds. I'm a fat guy so I don't run all that fast...

I would get all my friends together and smash some heads in with brute strenght. I wouldn't be running around with my .22 and hatchet alone (Because that will end up in getting mugged by a group of looters), but if I get some assistance, I will be.

I have a plan. Go up to my old flat up a staircase with 2 exits. 3 Apartments to survive in next to town centre. Im good

    1. Find out that zombies have occured

    2. Find a gun

    3. Opt out

I would try to protect my former friends as good at I can, and as long as I can take it.

I don't know anyone who owns a gun either and my best weapons in the house right now is a hammer x)

The place I live in makes the Middle of Nowhere seem like a metropolis. We've got a few guns, and since we live near a gas station we'd probably raid that place for some food and fuel before heading to my uncle's farm way out by itself, and likely survive there. So long as we made it out my my (incredibly small) town, we'd stand a good chance of surviving for at least a month or so.

    I'd be surviving.

I'm in good health, can shoot and I know how to fight in close quarters. And while I'm a nice person, generally, ruthlessness and pragmatism are equal parts of my personality. And I take personal survival.. very seriously. Combine that with the fact I just don't panic.... I'd be fine... as long as I didn't join a group.

The average person - far too likely to get killed and get others killed on the way out.....

I find it hard to believe that an average person is like Ben.

The average person thinks in terms of jobs, family, school, tv, music, games, dinner, sex, etc - take that away in a cataclysm - and what's left? Most likely someone scared batshit crazy and utterly clueless as to what to do..... or worse, in complete denial.

So Ben or Shane - either way they're a liability.

This depends. First, on the time of year. We have a creek running on the back of our property, but they only release water from the damn into it April through October. So if we had water, that would never be an issue, and I think that will be a big thing for long term survival.
The second thing is the most important. If my husband were home with me, I'd be okay. He grows a mean garden, knows a lot of survival skills, can McGyver damn near anything he needs, can build almost anything, and is a good shot with plenty of guns and his own reloading equipment, with enough supplies to last quite awhile. We live in the country, so I believe he could fortify our place against the few people that might happen this way. If I'm home alone..well, I can shoot. I can grow food. But my health isn't super, so fortification work and running would be out. I'd be toast pretty quickly on my own.

I came across a website a while back- essentially it asked you about 30 questions (such as age, where do you live, social skills, health...) and then based on your responses gave you the amount of days you'd live in a zombie outbreak. I thought I would do well- but apparantly not. Was given 14 days and then it was lights out.

    I'd survive.

My father was a police officer that used to collect weapons, so finding one is not a problem. I know how to hit moving targets more or less accurate.

The first thing I'd do is find my friend for many reasons, aside from personal, she knows how to handle a weapon and has decent navigation skills. Together, we would survive long enough to find some kind of group to join with.

My personality is pretty usual, actually: I'm calculative, cold and mostly emotionless in stressful situations. Blood, corpses and dead people in general don't affect me in any way.

My friend is, unfortunately, the opposite: she's VERY emotional, and I have no idea how she'd react to zombie apocalypse, heh.

Our city is located on the river, so it is possible for us to find a boat and escape the land within few hours.

Anyway, I think we have pretty decent chance of surviving and making our way somewhere safe...

Hiding and wait till the corpses rot, shouldn't be that long.

Probably start off a nice trusting guy then eventually turn into a Shane when the apocalypse really messes me up,loyal to my group and people i care for but extrememly hostile and unforgiving to strangers, thats if i dont get bitten first! :P

I might be able to survive for a bit since I know some things about zombies, but I doubt I would make it all the way.

O.o good luck with that, more fresh corpses arrive every day as the survivors fall, so you'll be waiting for a long time.

It depends on what type of zombies we'd be encountering.

Fast zombies - we're all dead, and those who have the experience, knowledge, tactics, etc. to survive the initial onslaught will fall sooner rather than later. They're just too dangerous.

Slow zombies - large portion of humanity would probably fall in the first weeks, and those who survive will likely fall prey to death eventually. We all make mistakes, no matter how well prepared we may be.

I'd be dead either way. I'd get eaten before i could come to terms that this is really happening.

I guess i could hold out for some time maybe months then have my share of lights out.

I have a BB gun or Pellet gun as we call it here and i know how to shoot. Since the pellets are really light, i have to practice and observe the environment (wind speed and direction) to get a good shot. So probably id know how to shoot a gun and maybe hit my target. (as long as its not as fast as an olympic runner, or else I'm fucked)

My friend has a sniper rifle he bought and it could pierce metal but its not a real gun. Its an airsoft gun but heavy duty.

Id probably join a group in my village. My village is gated, and not many people live here since the lots are expensive. I know a friend whose father has a hunting rifle.

I know some martial arts, specifically Aikido and Taekwondo and some CQC i learned from random video, games, demos. Also i like keeping sticks or whatever. In aikido i have something called a jo, a bamboo stick (not hollow) and we have some sharp knives downstairs.

But its pretty useless if i am caught off guard. Id probably be down in a minute if a random zombitch runs and busts in my room. I am terrible when im down on the floor.

Id guess id survive for 6 months. Water wont be a problem, we have a filter here and replacement packs.

It's a good thing i live just 500 metters from an army base and i have a XVIII century sword and my father's combat knife. I guess I woud be living inside a tank, so yeah, i would last a few months at least.

Assuming news doesn't come to me via zombie attack, I would most likely get the gun I keep in my house, then go to my ROTC program's building with my fellow cadets. There's supplies there and other people.

I live in New York. I would probably hide out in my apt as i have one entrance, and i have a lockable gate in front of my fire escape window. I'd wait it out for a bit and then use the fire escape as my point of exit and entry while looking for supplys...If i wasn't home or near home though, totally screwed

I work in a laboratory near a hospital in a more or less big city (near hospital + big city -> worst place for an oubreak) but I live in the countryside with a lot of mountains (probably good location)

I can't see a way how I could survive during my working time without tons of luck.

During holidays or outside work there would be a chance of surviving. Well I know a lot of guys with hunting rifles, I know houses on the near mountains and in the forests but yeah... I think in an outbreak I would finally starve because I would be much to frightened for a meele combat and just shooting isn't possible all the time (and it can make things even worse)

EDIT: So only real survival chance would be to become randomly part of a bigger group in which I would be able to overtake the medical part or some stuff like that. Otherwise I don't see a lot of chance for a longer time.

I'd be Ben. My town is small and out of the way, and I have easy access to a few firearms and a few big ass blades that we keep in our house, but personality-wise I'd be just like Ben. Hopefully a bit less stupid, but I'd always be afraid and unsure of myself when it hit the fan.

Unless its fast zombies. I'd fare about as well as Doug would if I got attacked by a fast zombie.

I think I would be a survivor. Im from Wyoming, where the only thing to do when your bored is shoot guns in the hills or go hunting/fishing/camping.

I own as of now, a .40 XD S&W, a Mossberg 500 12ga 18inch tactical shotgun, a Tactical SKS with bayonet, Remington SPS 700 .223 with 24 powered dual plane scope, Sig Suaer .22 pistol, 2 rugar semi-auto .22 rifles, Old Russian mosin nagant, and looking to buy another pistol in the 9mm. All of which have between 100-500 rounds.

I could last a while living in the mountains with my hunting/fishing/camping experience, plus a low population living in the northern part of the state, along with natural traps and cliffs for any walker who stumbles up the mountain...

I like to think i would last, but when it comes down to it, who really knows right?
