Walking Dead Game Episode 2 troubles

Playing on the Mac version. I'm stuck on episode 2 when I need to use the "back" command function. When I click on the mouse (right side click) I get no response and get stuck in the game. That happens twice, once in the barn when exploring the animal stalls and again when I explore the closet in the upstairs part of the house.

    What kind of mouse do you have?
    In some cases you might have to enable the right click.
    You can also try holding CTRL and left clicking.

    Finally, here's an option a user suggested.
