Replayability?

edited January 2013 in The Walking Dead
I just completed all episodes and I thought it totally rocked. But one of the USPs of this game is that your choices guide the story, so I thought I'd start a new game, but this time I'll make different choices.

So far I've only completed Episode 1 again, but nothing I said or did changed the story from the first time, other than the fact that I saved Doug instead of Carly. You know, Hershel still balled me out about Clem no matter how nice I tried to be to him, Larry still punched me even though I was nice to him, etc.

I'm guessing now that all the major decision points are going to be the same as the first time round, so your choices don't affect the story that much at all... but I could be wrong. Is it worth my time replaying this, or I am just going to be disillusioned?

The only replaybility with different choices that i found interesting, was by being a jerk through the game, or opting to stay silent whenever possible. That always brings out some funny results.

The big plot points are the same no matter how you play. But it's worth choosing different conversation choices to see just how different characters react.

If you're asking if the story will change vastly on your choices then no, the story progression is set on a linear path. That said, I actually really enjoyed replaying the game to see how characters reacted to how you treated them differently. Carley's reactions to you accusing her during the RV scene are priceless.

I also find there's usually a lot of details about the cast you usually can't find in a single play through. I actually never bothered searching Larry's other pockets until like my third play through and didn't know he carried his wife's wedding ring around. Then there's what happens to Molly if you don't bring Clem to Crawford and fail to shoot the zombie attacking her.
