haven't played the walking dead? I bet there are quite a few who frequent this forum and keep ignoring this side of the field because they assume it's another zombie cashin game.

there are clearly some people on these forums that wont play an adventure game unless you have 100+ items in your inventory and you have to click use then click on the thing to use it

I thought the same at first. But then I saw a Let's Play - first 5 or so minutes in (the cop conversation), and I said to myself: "Hell no, I'm not spoiling it! Gotta buy." And here we are :)

Of course there are people in the forums who haven't played. Telltale isn't ALL about TWD, you know.

yeah, but a lot of the people on the telltale forums want to keep the flaws with those games as well as the good bits, and think that telltale is replacing puzzle with dialogue, when they just made a new game in the same game genre.

it's like saying that Valve were replacing combat with puzzles by making portal

There will always be people who don't like certain games or franchises. If you don't like the comic and / or tv-series, I can't imagine wanting to buy and play the game.
Or even people who don't have the money to buy games. They will have to wait until they get it as a present.

There are many forum users who join in order to get support so they can actually get their game to work. So there's no way they know how the game ends since they haven't played it.

I only like zombie dogs, hyperkinetic-rabbity-things, and pirates.

The walking dead was good and I'm glad I picked it up and gave it a chance even if it isn't a usual point and click

But it isn't Sam and Max...

OP I don't think there are many. It's really hard to have missed all the fuss around it.

my biggest problem with adventure games with lots of inventory items and item combination, is that you have to use the items in only one way when in real life there are so many other logical combinations and different uses for items that phrases like "no, that doesn't work" really start to piss me off.

and i think that is the reason telltale had been reducing the amount of items compared to old school point and click games
