You are given the choice...

to decide between Lee and Clementine. Lee is not bitten yet.
That's the scenario I imagine: Lee is grabbed by a walker from behind, another walker falls on Clem like the one did on Duck before biting him, his had crushes on the street, he raises his head, staring at her throat, then she quickly gets out her glock and pulls the trigger, it's jammed, he drops on her, so she sticks the gun's barrel in his mouth and tries to keep him off, she can't do it too long...

Lee is holding "his" walker off with his arms and hands meanwhile.
Now you (Lee) can get your gun out and whether quickly push back "your" walker and shoot him, as a reaction to that Clem cringes, so she can't hold up her guard, and the walker gets her, since she still is 9 and that gunshot could scare her, or you push away "your" walker, then turn around let your own guard down, and shoot "Clem's" walker, so she is save, you can't be quick enough to kill "your" walker too though.
you've got 3 seconds, no slow-mo' nothing, just your instinct.

I'd save her with no hesitation, what about you?

Clem, Lee can't live without her

    Clementine. :)

Yeah. Clementine. The whole game was about Lee doing everything in his power to protect her. I've already accepted that outcome with the current ending. This way it's only a shorter time frame to do it.

Wait... me or Lee? I don't identify myself as Lee.... I would have done many things different and the options didn't vary enough to fit my own personality.

Personally, I'd save me first over anyone else. The only reason I'd sacrifice myself would be only if I could save way more than just 1 person.

If I'm "Lee" then yea Clem..

I meant that you as the player control Lee, it's up to you to decide in-character or as if it were you in Lee's position.

Oh, me controlling. I thought me personally. Easy decision then.

Anyone who wouldn't save Clem is a big meanie head. :(

Dude Clementine of course...I walked through a zombie hoard with a hatchet for her

Lee cares more about Clementine than he does himself, so Clem.

    Clementine ofc

I'd save Clem. If it were really me, We'd probably both die as i freeze in terror.

It takes a real hero to sacrifice one's life to save someone you love. I read articles of people who pay this ultimate price many times, and each one gives me hope that there will always be good in this world. :)

I would choose Clem and so would Lee
Lee deserves to get what he wants even if it will kill him

That is crazy. Clem is a 9 year old girl. If you wouldnt save her in real life, your either a coward or very selfish. What makes your life more important than hers? If you would only risk your life to save more than one person, you are saying two or more people would equate to how you view yourself and that no one else is as important as you are.

When something big happens we learn to first know your safe before you go help the other. Because otherwise you can lay next to him in the fire / get bitten to. But when thinks happening people don’t care about it anymore and start helping even if it’s going to get you killed. But the people how stick to the rules maybe life longer. But can you life with yourself afterwards?

I can only partly agree with that, because try to imagine *yourself* in that position, you're not some special agent like in "Resident Evil" or some ex marine, you're not trained to be in such situations, maybe he's just honest, frankly I can't tell how I'd react (if it was me, not Lee), since I have never been in such a situation. Could I sacrifice myself? could I let a little girl die? could I even think/react in such a situation, or would I just freeze and we both would die? hell if I know... remember, in the heat of the moment you sometimes don't have any choice, you just react, like I said: you've got 3 seconds or the both of you are getting the chomp. /edit: ingame I still would choose Clem.

a good quote from Lee: "...you think you do when you look back, but when shit is outta control, you don't have any choice"

I honestly have no idea what I would do if this situation popped up IRL... I'd probably freeze up or something, get us both killed. I'd like to think I'd be the hero and save Clem, but I just don't really know what I would do.

In the game, as Lee though? Save Clem every time.

For me, Clem is my daughter. And When I look at it in real life, Its me or my daughter, I would let the walker chomp through me before I let anything happen to her.

I agree that it would be a plain instinct reaction. As a fatherly instinct your first thought is always your child.

didn't get to become father yet  but I get your point of view, your first thought and you reaction are two different things though, when people are driving a car, and suddenly see a reason to hit the break (like a dog or child running on the street) it takes it's time to realize, and to act, and depending on how skilfully you are, you might not make it in time (like missing the break, and just stomping on the car's bottom), because there is a moment where you might be in a state of shock, when seeing how someone runs on the street, or to get back to topic your daughter is getting attacked by a walker, however- it depends on whether you ever shot a gun and on how quick and accurate you aim, and how fast you CAN react. 3 seconds can be short sometimes... if it's not a game, we got used to such situations IG, but not IRL.

btw. yeah I also felt for Clem like for a daughter, and i would've killed anyone, or sacrificed anyone to save her.

this scenario doesn't seem like it would be a Lee or Clementine Choice, i would shoot the one getting Clementine but i don't think you would get a better shot at the zombie that was on Clementine if you were being eaten, why not use one arm to hold off the zombie and the other to shot the one getting Clementine then shoot the one getting Lee?

and actually i don't think the sound of a gunshot would just cause Clementine to get killed so shooting the one getting Lee first then saving Clementine a few seconds later

if this was just a hypothetical choice of Lee or Clementine the obvious answer would be saving Clementine

to first quote: Lee first pushs the Zombie away, then takes the shot at the one being on Clem, after that the Zombie (behind him) stands up and bites him.
So why can't you use one hand to hold of the walker, and the other one to shoot? - because that would be very very risky, Clem can't hold "her" walker steady, because she's too weak, and Lee would have to hold of a walker, the walker would push towards Lee though, so he couldn't really aim either, so he'd only risk shooting her, besides that in such a situation shooting with both hands on the gun is just way safer.

to second quote: like many things in the twd universe it's up to everybody himself to believe it or not, it would be reasonable don't you think? Imagine her starring at that walker, all scared, holding him off SOMEhow, and not seeing that Lee takes out his gun, and suddenly hearing a shot, she would wonder where it came from, like: "what the?" *turns head to Lee, disoriented, in a little, very short but fatal state of shock* - zombie falls on her, bites her, and... you know...

in the end I posted the question to see who, or better say how many people would save her life over Lee's or his over her's, oh that reminds me I wanted to do a poll... I guess it's too late now.

i guess i would have to see it to actually believe that it was impossible to save both, but as i said hypothetically the obvious answer would be to save a child's life, so obviously i would save Clementine

She is the best isnt she? Best character of any game in my opinion. Not many characters in games can get the emotion out of me like she did, that shows she is a great character.

I get what your saying, I do live in Wyoming, so shooting guns is a bit of a specialty for me, but with the shock and everything you are right, it would be much more than just knowing what to do and actually getting it done...

Save myself. I'm much more useful to the group than she is plus that you only have one life.

How is this even a question?

    Clementine. Always Clementine.
