R U happy with the surviving persons ?

edited February 2013 in The Walking Dead
GREAT GAME - just one thing I would like to ask the authors : SPOILER : Why the hell, the only two persons from your group, which will probably survive (except the great and beautifull Clem) are the two most unsymphatic persons and what upsets me most - two that joins your group nearly at the end?? I would rather see anybody else from my group to survive than these two:( - the long nose strange small guy and the black woman with strange look - not very pretty woman, Christa and Omid..
I was wondering if anybody feels the same way I feel about it...or itś just me.. ;)

---
Anyway, great game with some great moments and emotions in it ! :)) keep up the good work!

I disagree with the sentiment in the OP. I think Christa and Omid are great; and more importantly, I think they are great for Clem... so I'm very happy with who survived.

I thought that Omid & Christa showed that they are very sympathetic people. Christa immediately took an interest in Clem's well-being from the start, Omid proved to be a very positive spirit throughout the ordeal, and they both readily helped Lee rescue Clem. Not to mention that they seem to be very in love, and are actually quite a cute couple with a baby on the way. I have no idea why you see them as unsympathetic.

And they didn't join the group "nearly at the end." They joined the group halfway through the game and had more or less as much exposure in the story as those who were there from the start and died in the middle (like Carley, Lily, Katja & Duck). I think the only characters who had more exposure than Omid & Christa were Lee, Clem & Kenny.

So, you don't like Christa because she ain't a pretty woman? What the hell?

And, like "lastdodobird" said, they are great for clem...

I think Christa is very attractive! From the inside and the outside. I am happy, that these people have survived and I hope, Om and Chri care good for lil' Clementine. Or just one of them.

I think you're the only one that feels that way. Omid is the comedy relief guy and Christa is the female friend that Clem needs, and I'm glad they were in the game and I hope they're in season 2.

Honestly, I am happy with it too. I would have liked to see some more survive, like Ben, Kenny, and Chuck, but Omid and Christa are very cool characters, and I can't wait to see what they do with them in the next game.:)

I would've left clem with carly if she had made it

I'm happy, Clem loved them and I can imagine her being happy with them. So if she is happy, I am happy. End of.

Christa and Omid were very sympathetic people if they trust you. It sounds like you picked dialogue options and acted in certain ways that did not earn their trust.

Well, i like Christa and Omid, but i wish to see Lee too... But he's dead...

OK, maybe you are right - when U put it that way - those two are really the best choice for Clem, that is true. But from players perspective - I´ve found these two most boring and insignificant persons - not a lot action with them, where they can proove what they really are. That is the way I see it :)
But anyway-looking forward to next seasons :)

^ Would be nice if you could elaborate on why you feel that way about them. I'm curious as to why you see them as unsympathetic and boring, because I feel the complete opposite.

I can understand not liking Christa. She had an attitude, was demanding at times and forced herself into your business, as if she's saying Lee was doing a dirt poor job at guarding Clem. She also shoots down Omid every time he tries to lift the mood with a light hearted joke. Those are things i don't like about her.

As for Omid, after getting past the very brief "is this guy a pedophile?" phase, i never saw much wrong with him.

I have to admit I couldn't stop crying when duck died but other then that i am happy with who survived, still miss duck :( he was one of my favorite characters! :( I mean i can't help feeling like he's my little brother or something.

I never cared much for Duck but I did have tears in my eyes when I had to shoot him :(

Am I happy with everyone who survived? Considering my dream happy ending was to sail off to an island at the end with Kenny, his family, Carley, Ben, and Clem, I'd have to say...NO.

But, am I happy that, of the small group I had with me in Episode 5, Christa, Omid, and Clem survived? Hell yes. I deemed everyone but Christa expendable on the mission to find Clem, because of her pregnancy, and dropped Ben in Episode 4. So out of Omid, Lee, Kenny, Clem, and Christa, I'd have to say that I'm happy with how the episode turned out (We all knew Lee was going to die by the end of 4, and Kenny prevented Christa's death in my game). Omid and Christa will be good caretakers for Clem. I even told them as much in the attic.

If Ben was a part of your dream ending, why the heck did you drop him? :p

Many reasons. The group was surrounded with walkers closing in on all sides, and Ben was making no efforts to climb up. I thought that the group would be cut off from the sewers any moment, and Ben was holding us up. I pictured that pulling him up would take too much time, putting everyone else in even more danger, possibly getting someone else killed. Then, I also thought of it as a Carley/Doug choice where he would die anyway (and hey, turns out I was right), so that saving him wouldn't matter. And finally, Ben wanted me to do it. It was his way of trying to make up for all the shit he caused, by sacrificing himself to let the rest of the group get away. That was the biggest one. He redeemed himself in my eyes the moment he said "Lee, we both know..." So I let him go. I stopped hating him when he said that, so it hurt like hell to drop him, but I didn't want to risk the entire group getting eaten just for a chance to save Ben. Besides, he was the lowest priority character in my happy ending.

Blasphemy! They are far from cartoon characters. Tom and Jerry are cartoon characters. The Looney Tunes are cartoon characters. These video game characters are far from looking like them.

The only character confirmed to survive is Clementine. I don't take it for granted that Omid and Christa made it. Of the characters whose fates remain unknown, I'd say Molly is the most likely survivor.

No one seems to question why the lead character did not survive. There should be a way to keep him from getting bit or cutting off his arm prevented him from turning, like in the TV series. Any thoughts?
  • edited February 2013
Even if Clementine was the only survivor, I am happy. I don't care so much about Omid and Christa, but I can't let Clementine die :(

I agree that I would have liked to see others survive. Carly, Kenny, Lee... Any of those would be better than Omid and Christa, but not because they look good or anything, just because I liked the others much much better.

My choices would have been Kenny, Carly, or Lilly if any of them had made it, as each of them would surely have done all they could to protect clem, and were the most capable. I'm not too sure about christa and omid, although Im sure they will do all they can also, they weren't the strongest characters and in 9 months or so (assuming she just got preggo recently since there wasnt much of bump showing) things are going to get really tough for those two. (how do you keep a hungry/cranky/sick etc baby from crying? 0.o) So, she's going to be depending on a pregnant woman (soon to be brand new baby's momma) and a pip squeak of a guy to protect her? Pfft, I dont think so, doesnt seem like the smartest choice to me, regardless of their good intentions and love for clem. Not to even mention the complications of omids leg (surely vernon didnt leave them with a bunch of meds to finish helping his leg heal, all he did was feed him some anti-biotics ONE TIME) ANNNND natural child birth in the most vile, un-sanitary conditions one can imagine, as id she's really going to survive THAT. So saying she doesnt make it, now she's with pip squeak with a newborn AND her.....again....PPFFFFFTTTTTTT. Not the greatest choice. Could just be me.
Honestly, if I were lee, and at the end it was just me and her, and Im about to turn, and she's about to be all alone with only a slim chance of finding christa and omid, I would have said give me the gun for a second, then shot her right between the eyes. It would have been the only humane thing to do. Most of you probably wont agree, but come on, you're about to send a 9 year old into the fray against a world full of zombies, with no help, no supplies, no plan, no anything, and you all would have be ok with that? "Go find christa and omid" "Dont be afraid" "find a group" "Stay away from the cities"...etc etc whatever options you chose to tell her...SERIOUSLY?? Whats more humane, ending it there, or telling the 9 year old little girl you're on your own now good luck....crazy. Too bad you couldnt send her to molly, she could have taught the girl the neccasary (sp?) ninja skills to survive.

Of course doing it that way you wouldnt be able to have the sequel involving clem. but its the zombie apocalypse! the s has htf! Screw the sequel!

    my 2 cents.
