And yet, somehow, AMC continues to burn through its head writers faster than matchsticks...

Maybe I'll finally start watching this show. O.o

From what little information I've gathered, it seems the first season was good, the second season was not as good, and the third season is good. Correct?

I hear Shane is kept alive much longer in the show. I despised him in the comics and I'm going to go into this wanting to hate him in the show as well, but i also hear he is a fan favorite of sorts. We shall see!

Some would say thats an accurate assessment. They have deviated way off the specturm from the comic, imho. Lots of differences. And as Robert pointed out..a bit of an issue with writers leaving. I'm a WD homer, and was not very impressed with last weeks episode...culmination of sorts. Not happy with how Michonne is being portrayed, for starters. Other stuff has me scratching my head as well.

A lot of people have said season 2 is 'slow' or whatever, but I thought it was good. So zombies weren't getting blown away in every scene, but the character development was great. I do like Shane a lot more on the show. Everyone's favorite character seems to be Daryl though.

I think the third season is the best one yet. Season 2 wasn't bad either, the Sophia searching and constant injuries just made it a little boring.
I also think Daryl will leave Merle behind to walkers and return to the prison on his own. I just have the feeling that will happen after Daryl has spent 8 months with other people who appreciate him.

I agree that the third season Is the best one so far. Yet I doubt that which you stated In the spoiler will happen. They are brothers after all.

Most consider season 2 the weakest. It was still a good season, IMO, but the first half of the season moved at a slower pace, and some people felt the show was moving too slowly.

It also doesn't follow the comic very closely. Some events don't happen in the TV series, some characters are very different from their comic versions, some die sooner/live longer, and some new characters are introduced.

It's a really good series and you should give it chance, just be prepared to see some things go very differently than they do in the comics.

I Liked the first episode of season 1 a lot, The others were decent but had some really goofy and cheesy parts in it. Still very much enjoyed them however. The second season is the one that got me hooked on TWD, Pretty much dead already, the episode where
Sophia comes out of the barn
was just perfect all around. Had everything, And now season 3 is just incredible.

As for your prediction i say no.
I say something more like it will come down to something like Merl is trying to kill Rick or something and Deryl has to chose between Merl or Rick. And will end up killing Merl to save Rick. That would be super emotional and dark, i could see it fitting perfect in TWD.

    Good for them.

Season 2 wasn't too great because half of it consisted of everyone shouting "SOPHIAAAA"

    All 3 seasons are good.

I generally like the TV show, but compared to the comics Andrea and Michonne's Portrayal absolutely leaves me baffled.

And the rate of head writers being dismissed is questionable too...
