Sure it looks fine in still frames but I bet it's not so easy or nice to look at in motion.

I dunno, I really enjoyed playing L.A. Noire in black and white.

50 shades of grey would help a bw game work ?

ati catalyst doesn't allow colour to be turned off as ar as i can tell so i assume turning the colour off on the monitor is more likely and possible.

    job done

the comics are only black and white for budget reasons, the comics would be better if the cover art was in the comic, and a black and white game is visually boring unless it has a very distinct style like madworld above (it had red as well) and The Saboteur is black and white to give it the "in the past" feel, if they just took out all the colour from the game it would look unfinished rather than distinct

There is a 'Film Noire" mode on L.A. Noire that makes it look like an old black and white movie.:D

MadWorld looked really cool. Fun little Sega beat 'em up that was all b&w except body fluids.

Just fiddle with your TV's colour options, I'll do it... whenever I can get the game on my desired platform. I like Manga more than most Comics simply because I prefer monochromatic drawings.

So as you might be aware, AMC is rebroadcasting all of the first season of the TV adaptation in Black and White (which was really cool to see by the way). So I got around to thinking what the game would look like in black and white, as it is more akin to the comics in aesthetics. I dug up an old article in which Telltale explained the absence of a black and white option (http://kotaku.com/5917010/why-the-walking-dead-game-isnt-in-black-and-white) and yet I still was interested in seeing it. So then I got around to thinking and realized that the game in Black and White has been standing right in front of me the whole time regardless, I went into my monitor's display settings and sure enough found a way to turn it black and white. Now, I've only went through the first episode in black and white so far, but it is just awesome to replay the game in a new light and it really does add a wholly different atmosphere to things. I know not all monitors are as simple to change to black and white, but if you search things up I'm sure there's a way to do it, especially if you have a good video card (some Nvidia cards have the black and white option as literally the click of a button). For you console folks, there is almost always a way to make a TV display in black and white, you'll probably have it even easier to do from the TV settings. Anyways, it is without doubt worth checking out just to see what it all looks like and if you want to go through a new playthrough and have it feel new it's a great way to jump back into the story again. I'm actually debating whether or not I prefer the game in black and white and if I might just go through Season Two without color for even my first playthrough. This is definitely something you should see for yourself if you can, just thought I'd post this here for people who have thought about it but weren't quite sure if they could do it.

*I didn't take screenshots when I played, but I took some promo images and made them black and white so you can get somewhat of an idea of what it all looks like.

The job you did is amazing, but in black and white the game looks too dark.
