SBCG4AP: Homestar Ruiner freezing on Wii U

Playing the Wii version of Homestar Ruiner on the Wii U, when I get to the scene where the King of Town awards the trophy to "Homestar", the game freezes. It's happened to me three times in a row now - trying to skip the line on the third try with the "B" button only caused it to freeze sooner. Never happened on the regular Wii.
