First off, let me just say that I am the biggest wuss when it comes to horror games. I'm the guy that turns on all the lights, looks over his shoulder, and plays the theme tune to The Benny Hill show when he's frightened.

However, The Walking Dead is not really like other horror games. Yes, it's scary at times, but not in a way you'd expect. It's not a game about killing as many zombies as you can, nor is it a game which features constant jump-scares. Simply put, it's more of a human drama about people surviving in the zombie apocalypse.

That said, it is graphic, so if you are very squeamish when it comes to blood and guts, it may bother you a little. The art design is more focused on expressionism than realism, though, so it's not like other games, which seem hyper-realistic and gratuitous with their gore.

I highly recommend this game, because it's absolutely amazing. It's got a fantastic storyline, excellent characters, and very engaging gameplay. It's almost like an interactive movie. As for which system to get it on, I'd suggest PS3 if you have a decent sized television. I don't reccomend playing a game like this on an iPhone.

    Have fun! :)

Spot on, Aerial-ballet. I myself am very easily frightened by horror games as well(couldn't get past the first room in two Resident Evil games) but i wasn't scared playing The Walking Dead much at all.

However there ARE a few jump scares in the game, and i suppose they can catch you off guard. I can count at least three that come out of nowhere, but they're not that bad.

This isn't entirely relevant, but I'd like to add I have a cousin who hates horror movies but loves the The Walking Dead TV series. All though there are some traditional horror moments in the game, most of the game focuses on human drama, so you like aerial said, you should probably be able to handle it.

I don't think you could call The Walking Dead a horror game. There are some scary moments, sure, but it's more about drama than anything else.

Just play with the lights on. :p

Yeah, TWD isn't a TRUE horror. It's more about human drama. I've always been scared of horror movies, but idk, zombie movies don't scare me. I guess it's stuff that I know can't happen that I'm scared of.

I'd say on the iPhone it's actually more scary, for some small parts are cleared, and so are replaced by jumpscares. I played it on the PS3 and I absolutely loved it, 10/10. i recommend playing the game definitely

Everyone's tolerance level is different, but I can definitely say TWD is on the very light side in terms of horror elements. Personally, I wouldn't even classify it as horror story. Like everyone said, it's about human drama so that's the focus.

Meh, TWD is not that scary. Sure it has it's jump scares, but they're not that scary unless you are playing with headphones and with your volume being up high.
