French translation on PC.

edited June 2013 in The Walking Dead
Hey Telltale,

great job with the game. It really makes very addictive to play.

A patch was recently released on Xbox 360 for subtitles in French, but ...

To be honest, only the PC version interests me and I look forward to this famous patch that will solve my problems in the language of Shakespeare (as you can see in this post). A release date ?

If it is, I'll buy the PC version on Steam. And I am far from alone in this case. Thank you for your understanding.

Cordially.

I don't know when they will release subtitles for the PC version, but there are unofficial patches that currently will. Google is your friend.

Still nothing ? To this day, you should be able to give me a clear answer and tell me if a patch including French subtitles are provided on PC in the days and weeks to come.

I saw that for a short time on the steam platform, we had the choice of language in the properties of the game (French and other languages)? But when I start Walking Dead, nothing new, it is still entirely in English.
Is this normal? He's gonna have to wait a little longer to get them? Or is it simply a bug? Thank you for giving me an answer.

If the french subtitles are as good as the german ones, then there are some mistakes as well, with all due respect, they did a far better job then all the fan translations so far, but they translated some things word by word, though it means something completly different then. But only in very very few places, partially (at least in the german ones) some phrases are in a wrong place. (Episode 2 the subtitles say something about the barn, although the voices talk about Kenny.)

I really wish I had noted all the mistakes to help improve the subtitles, but I didn't have time to do so, once I'll have time I'll do it.

Sorry if it is slightly off-topic, but I didn't want to open a whole new thread for it.

After release the game materialized (knowing that the PC version will not be released in France for an unknown reason) on May 14 on PS3 and X360, I'm still waiting a response from you regarding (yet) dematerialized PC version on Steam and give me a fixed idea on the output (or not) the official patch that has already been out for a long time now. You should be able to give me an honest and direct response today.

    ----

Après la sortie du jeu en matérialisé (sachant que la version PC ne sortira pas en France pour une raison inconnue) le 14 mai dernier sur PS3 et X360, j'attends une réponse de votre part concernant (encore) la version dématérialisée PC sur steam et me faire une idée fixe sur la sortie (ou non) du patch officiel qui aurait déjà dû sortir depuis longtemps maintenant. De ce fait, vous devriez être en mesure de me donner une réponse franche et directe au jour où je tape ce message.

This is the same also with the Spanish translation, which is pretty bad due to the exact same reasons. It's the consequence of Telltale doing these translations themselves instead of relying into external companies like they did before.

    up!
I would like to buy this game but without the answer on French translation availability, I won't.
I am a bit afraid also of the slow response time on this forum.
    Where support points.
