About season 2 or possible a season 3

I know that Season 1 was awesome... and I know people want the surviving characters come back for Season 2 .. but is it only me that want the game to follow other path ? i really would love to play with Rick and Daryl .. i think it would be awesome . I personally wanted them to make the games based on the COMICS or TV version instead of making new stories . If it was stories about the past of the characters who appear on the COMIC/TV , it would be cool too , but no adding characters like Lee or Clementine , who has nothing to do with the comics or tv series.. well this is just my opinion , i hope Daryl and Rick appear in some season of TWD maded by TellTale Games.

As for creating new stories with established characters from the comics, it is also a bad idea in my opinion. The important thing in the franchise is that no one is safe, everyone can die. If you add a couple of immortal characters, it ruins the suspense.
I also agree with what Owyn said. I already know what characters in the comic die. I would be expecting it, and if we played as one of these characters, I would kind of feel like there was no point. I also don't want to hear a third version of Rick's story. I've already read all of the current comics and have seen all but the 2 latest TV installments. What more could I possibly know about Rick Grimes?
As for Daryl, there's already a game where you play as Daryl. He's an interesting TV add-on, but I don't want to play as him. The same way I don't really want to play as Michonne. Yes they're both bad asses, and I assume they both have incredibly interesting background stories, but neither are leaders and neither would be interesting to play. I'd prefer a short novel about them to a game where I play as them.
TV show exclusive characters like Daryl should never appear. The TV show is in a complete alternate dimension to the game universe, so they should not collide unless such characters are introduced into the comic as well.
I disagree... Rick is the main character of a particular story in that universe. That doesn't mean he has to be the main character of the whole universe.
The TV show is not bad, I haven't read the comics, but the game was sooooo good. And having Glenn and Hershel in it didn't really helped at all, it could have been random people and I would have enjoyed it just as much.
Also, many people have preconceptions about the other characters. If I see Carl on a Walking Dead game for example, I wouldn't even bother talking to him or helping him because I hate that character (I've been hoping for him to die on the TV show for over a season). While if you introduce me to a random boy like Duck the relationship will be much different.
they would be immortal until they die in the comic, which would mean they would be immortal the whole game, i was glad glenn and hershel were only cameos because everything about them is predestined, the best thing about the game is that it was an original story that could potentially go anywhere, if it were leashed to a comic character there would be certain things that would have to happen, you would know for sure they wont die or get a permanent injury or even do something completely out of character, it would just take away so much more than it would gain from fan service
I would love to have Rick in the game as long as he doesn't feel too shoe-horned in. They walked a pretty fine line in Episode 1 with Hershel and Glen. I definitely wouldn't want Rick to be a playable character or anything. I've seen enough of him in the comics and show. Give me more new people!
That also means that I think some peoples stories have run their course, like what happens whit Clem. I would rather see another game, with new people that doesn't necessarily is Rick's next-cousin or Lee's long lost and unknown sister or anything. In other words: stop trying to tie everything in a TWD game to the comic/TV show/TWDTG s01. The universe is too awesome for that.
A direct adaptation of an existing story is hard to do, because the narrative is already established. The puzzles ended up feeling either shoehorned in, or too predictable based on how the situation developed in the comics.
Fresh stories and characters in an existing universe have made for better stories and more playable games since those early adaptation efforts.
