Why wasn't Lilly in the tv show?

edited April 2013 in The Walking Dead
I figured that she would've been in the tv show, considering the fact that she made a huge impact in the comic series.

1) She has a book based off of her
2) She kills Lori
3) She kills Judith
4) She kills The Governor

I don't know why they would just throw a character like that away.. What a shame.

I've been hoping to see her in season 3 the whole time. (Or at least be mentioned) Maybe we'll see her in season 4 (I hope) because I like the idea about her being the one that kills The Governor.

I'm starting to doubt that she'll ever show up... Even in TWD: The Game. Sucks :\

They'll either introduce her in season 4 or replace her with someone else. And by "replace," I mean someone with a different name who manages to kill the Governor.

That is why the TV series starts to disappoint me in the last time

I thought Karen was Lilly at first. I was hoping for it, but no. It's not like Lilly has to be a main character in the show or anything, just have her be in an episode! The Season finale would have been the perfect time to put her in, which would have given me something positive to say about the last episode.

I feel like the show writers are trying to make Karen into Lilly. In my opinion... Which is meeehh okay.

I'll be interested in seeing how Karen will develop, if at all, in the show. I fully expected her to die before the end of the finale. You, know, cuz I was expecting an actual showdown before the credits rolled like everyone else!

Well, we saw The Governor channel his inner Lilly in the last episode. Granted he took it up a notch, but still.

Same, I thought her name would be Lilly, but maybe she'll be the equivalent of comic Lilly.. I was really expecting the governor to die this season =.=

I personally have seen enough of Lilly. I'm glad about this decision.

Hey, the Gov's still alive. This goes to say that there is still hope for TV Lilly. What's not to say that he arrives with a whole new crew at the prison in season 4, and gets his head blasted off by her?

Was Karen the one that hid in the car?

Yes she was. I thought at first: Yes, that is Lilly... well, until later we heard her name.

I would love to have Lilly or well "Karen" as a new troublemaker for the group.

By the way, when Martinez and Daryl were chatting and began to respect each other by the end, I thought they were going to make Martinez the Lilly of the show. I was guessing that he would shoot Beth as she carried the baby, snapped, and turn on the Governor. As it turns out, Milton came the closest to doing what comic Lilly did. We'll see how Karen develops.

Man. I hate the TV version. I expected Andrea to become the Lily of that universe. With everything she's done to divide her in the fandom, it would be the easiest way to redeem her character.

Instead, the one character they kill in the "epic season finale" is the one nobody likes in the first place. Where's the risk? Where's the elements of the series that made the comic good?

This show is the zombie apocalypse on easy mode. If they did a TV show of the game, Carley would outlive everyone and be immune to the disease. She'd fly Lee and Clem to the Ozarks and they'd live there happily ever after eating cake.
