Leader of the group

This is something I've been thinking about recently, and I'd like to hear your thoughts about it.

What if during Season 2, you are given the chance to become the leader of the group? Will you accept the burden and responsibilities that come with it or will you deny it and pass it on to someone you think that would be more capable?

I don't know if I'd like to be the only leader, for I'd be the one to make all the decisions, some of which people may not always agree with... I'd rather have a small group for leadership, a few people to debate and decide on what is best. Either that, or a democracy. I know I wouldn't like one person to make the final say if I was simply a member of the group, so I wouldn't want to just control everything. However, if I had to... I think I could manage them. Doesn't mean I'd like it, but I'd handle things to the best of my ability.

I thought it would be interesting if in Season 2 if you start as a leader, maybe because your character is a cop or solider or something that people consider an authority figure and your leadership is repeatedly challenged until towards the end of the season where people stop thinking of you as a leader. Basically the opposite of season one where Lee starts as just another guy and by episode five everyone's looking to him for what they should do.

Anyways, to answer your question, it really depends on the group actually. If there is already someone there who I have confidence in as a leader, I'd have no problem supporting them. If not, then I'll step up. Seems like most of the problems in season one came from Lilly and Kenny never fucking listening to anyone. Really would like to avoid a repeat of that hassle. :p

I'd prefer to let someone else have the position. But, if nobody else stepped up, then I guess I would. I'd probably handle stuff by voting though, at least the big stuff. I'd hate being a group leader, especially because I think I'd probably fuck it up.

Nah, I'd pass it up. We've already seen Lee be an awesome leader, albeit for a short time.

It'd be a nice change in season 2 if we had an active role in the group, but not being a leader.

    I completely agree on that.

I don't think any of us would be worse leaders than The Governor or Rick for example, personally I think the Lilly/Kenny struggle fucked the group too. I think I could do better than that, though I agree to everyone who said he'd prefer a democracy so far.

It depends on the situation for me. That's usually how i am with these things, i can't make a pre-planned decision unless i know all the details surrounding it.

If it were real life, i would avoid being a leader at all costs. I'd just not cut out for it, and would probably pull a Ben and run the group into the ground.

I wouldn't trust myself to be leader...

Whoever is the leader will eventually muck up and cause someone to die and if it is ever my fault Clem dies...
Let someone else take the blame and responsibility

I agree with most people here in saying I would prefer a democracy, but if I had to I could lead a group of survivors,I can be cold, ruthless, calculating, and brutal if need be.
