New Base Theory

BEFORE READING BE WARNED MAJOR SPOILERS.

Hello guys, I've come up with a theory which could lead as to where Clementine could go once she discovers who the 'Two Shadows' are. This is all just a theory and it's for fun :D

Let's begin.

First we need to cast our minds back to Episode 3 where we were given the option to either ditch Lilly on the side of the road or take her with us only to have her steal the RV. Since the game at the end of Episode 5 is only 3 months and 2-3 weeks in the apocalypse we can safely assume Rick and his group are at Hershel's Farm whilst Woodbury is only starting to get set-up so Lilly isn't there yet.

Now, let's assume that Omid and Christa are the shadows. Now let's also say that Clementine has met them and explained that Lee died.

Episode 6 or 7 could see this scenario

If Lilly has the RV: She will will be driving and she'll see that Clementine and Christa and Omid are on the road. She'll recognize Clementine and stop, there Clem explains who Christa and Omid are and how Lee died and Lilly will take them inside her RV the reason she was out there is that she was scavenging supplies since she has found a new group with a new location. So she drives them back there.

If Lilly doesn't have the RV: The train station is most likely crawling with walkers so Omid and Christa alongside Clementine walk and find Lilly at the location with her new group and Lilly would let them in.

But where is this new location? Well none other than Ft.Pulaski

Think about it? The base is secure-able and it's a half an hour drive so Lilly could easily head to Savannah in order to scavenge supplies. It could be a good location and it's nearby Savannah.

You've done quite the research. And as far as theories go, it is a very good one. The only gripes I have with it are that the RV was on its last legs when/if she stole it, so it is unlikely she would still have it after all that time, and that if you left Lilly I doubt she would look very kindly on Clementine, I mean, Lee either left her to die, or she left Lee at the train, after tricking him out of the RV. The weeks on her own would not help her already damaged mind, and she would probably see Clementine as the only reminder of a group which, she sees as having betrayed her. These two factors could easily make her an antagonist in S2. Or she could have died on the road out there, I mean, this is the Walking Dead we're talking about, so that is more than likely.

I just took a look at Google maps, and it's about 165 miles from Macon to Savannah, with a lot of walkers and probably some hostile people in between if you take the most direct route. The RV was on it's last legs. I think Kenny mentioned the alternator was about to break. And if she had to walk that...yeah, it's going to be a stretch for Lilly to make it there.

Now I can't remember this for sure, but when Lilly stole the RV, she basically did a U-turn, right? So if the train was blocking the way to Savannah, it would mean Lilly had to find a detour around it, which increases travel distance and risks.

However, I can see how the fort itself could be taken over by survivors and perhaps Clem could find shelter there.

Interesting ideas, though like the others said, the RV was likely abandoned by the time Lee's group reached the city.

Well, time away from group conflict could make her introspective of her actions, or the isolation could just amp up her paranoia big time. I don't know how Lilly would react, though I don't really picture her being a threat to Clementine out of spite. Though on reflection she may not be very welcoming if she had successfully found a new group, and there was now a person who could tell them that she murdered someone in her old one...

That would bring some nice twists in there if Clem would tell that Lilly murdered a person (Carley/Doug), but of course the new group from Lilly would not believe a child. So Omid & Christa defend her and know what Clementine is capable off... and since you said as Lee the option that O&C should take care of Clementine that is what they will say too to Lilly.

I would love to see Lilly back, but I think with beeing that mentally broken I can not see her with a new group.

Kind of a reverse Larry and Lee situation in retrospect. I wouldn't assume that we'd see her leading new people this late into things, but I don't see why she couldn't join a new group out of necessity. It's not like she was so unstable that she couldn't talk to them coherently, and they wouldn't need to find out she was alone because she shot someone.

Though if she actually did have good standing with a new group I don't think Clem, or Omid and Christa, would try to rock the boat too much if things could stay diplomatic.
