Probably the most emotionally engaging game I've ever played
Bravo Telltale, bravo!
I've been a gamer for around 30 years now, since my parents brought home my fondly-remembered Colecovision.
I've played titles on most popular platforms and whilst those early years didn't have much potential for moving stories I'm still struck by how brilliant this game was on that level; I was hooked from the get go.
I've been a Telltale fan since you resurrected my beloved Sam and Max, through the great Monkey Island games too, so I'm ashamed it took me so long to get WD (I was interested early, til I saw it wouldn't get a release in Aus due to our then lack of an R rating for games).
I kinda forgot about it for a while though later noticing it on App Store, until ep 1 appeared free. I had some room in my gaming schedule so I grabbed it... and bought the remaining eps shortly after starting ep 1; I was sold on it very quickly, and at no point during the season was I disappointed.
The decisions were meaningful, and often difficult to make, and I cannot praise the voice work enough - without stellar voice work the whole thing would fall apart, but I never once felt distracted by bad voice acting.
I've never been close to tears from a game, but the end almost got me.
I never really thought about there being more than 1 season while I was playing it, but now another is teased, I'm REALLY excited.
That really was a job very well done!

TWD is however the only game where I hated a character so much I got rid of him; and subsequently felt like an asshole for doing such.
Bravo Telltale!
