What did Vernon mean by did you all come in by the train and when lee asks Vernon says "its nothing never mind" or something along those lines correct me if im wrong

I think he was worried that we would try to leave as soon as possible if the group knew that there were that many walkers coming. He said that helping each other in Crawford was what made us better than them, but the boat was always his ulterior motive.

Of course, but even Lee's group seems confused initially as to why there are so many of them, before they piece together that the train brought them there. They don't expect the walkers to follow in the direction of a sound that's not there anymore for hours, which they do. I think most survivors would not know this unless they experienced it firsthand.
I still think Vernon figured out the train brought them, though. He had a decent amount of time to look at it while we were climbing the tower, but not the decency to warn us.
