What moments made you tear up?

edited June 2013 in The Walking Dead
There's already a thread on most upsetting deaths, so tell me what other events in WD made you upset?

-in episode 2 when you're beating up Andy. The atmosphere, music, and overall imagery really got to me
-episode 3 after your party has fled the motor inn and you're talking to Clem in the van.
-at the end when you see Clem's zombified parents. That look on her face....I wanted to give her a hug :(

    ALL OF IT

But omg when Clem saw her parents I cried for probably 10 minutes straight, I had to put my ipad down because I couldn't see wtf I was doing.

And then there's the ending.. wow.

The most epic moment in game I guess.

Well, the most painfull moment for me was when Clem hugs Lee after Stranger's death. That feel... Joy of see her again, emotion, and then a terrible realization of the fact that soon we'll have to leave her forever.

Ben being upset and yelling at Kenny in Ep4 or 5 about how he never had his family to loose...
    Ken's death...
I was very close to each time seeing Clem down or upset.
And not to forget the ending, that nailed it... many manly tears...

I have never seen a game ending quite like the Walking Dead, all I can say is that it beat the shows ending this year by a landslide.

Telling Clementine that we wouldn't be able to look for her parents was a gut-punch, as was her reaction to hearing that Lee got bit.

I didn't exactly get misty-eyed, but the way Andy reacted after being told that his family was dead was a brilliantly done moment.

His "Don't you Dare walk away from me Lee!!" has to be one of my favorite line deliveries of the game.

All the things he says in the final showdown is just pure brilliance.

Andy told me I'd be sorry when Dan and Momma showed up. I told him they weren't coming. When he asked me what I meant, I could see that that sentence hurt him far more than when I had pushed him into an electric fence seconds earlier. I couldn't help but feel sorry for the guy who tried to slice me up into pieces and eat me.

One of the three times I cried in the game was getting Kenny to stop the train, then the following scene with Duck. I started hating Kenny because of everything that was happening after the meat locker, but I suppose we were still on good terms. I managed to talk him down, and found out he was still blaming himself for Shawn's death. That put me in just the right mood to bring the tears when he started talking with Kat. I remember him bargaining with her for something less violent than having to shoot their own son was heartbreaking, especially since Kenny and Kat kind of remind me of my own parents.

The other two are Kenny's "death", since I got the Christa version and didn't even get to say goodbye, and ten the entire scene in the jewelry store. I felt nothing upon seeing Clem's parents though.

It's not bad to feel it again, sometimes, I glad that I can feel it again. it's not painfull, it's beautifull.

If I was to count how many beautiful scenes are in this game, it would take about 12 hours, there is just so many.

But this scence is most beautifull i think. Because it's the last moment (only a moment) when they happy togeather.

I would have to agree, all the emotion without saying a word, just shows how good the writing really was.

I shed a tear or two in Duck's death and broke down in tears in Lee's death. Whenever I watch these scenes, I listen to this song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TOSXygaUxYk

They should put a warning on the box saying, "Warning this game contains many sad moments that will make you sad, depressed, dead inside and haunted by memory's, only play if you can withstand this punishment or if you don't care about life."

Now i won't be able to sleep for a week again remembering all of the emotional parts of the game.. >:|

Mainly the last scene. Seeing Lee with Jaundice and deteriorating so fast in front for Clem got me.

Lee and Kenny having an epic fight on the train. Its good if Lee wins because Kenny actually realizes what is actually going on and opens his eyes for the first time in a long time.

Reading about every one else's sad moments that they had whilst playing the game makes me feel like a heartless person because I didn't cry. Well I did shed one tear when Lee was dying and I asked Clem to shoot me. I didn't even cry when Kenny died and he was my faveorite character. I am disappointed in myself. What's wrong with me I barely cry at anything and I'm not happy about it. I can't even cry when I want to. I think it was very emotional even though I didn't cry.

Nothing is wrong with you, people can be touched without crying, that's just how you are I guess... You said you think it was very emotional, so it doesn't matter if tears come out of your eyes or not, now does it? You feel it, and after all, that is all that matters in the end.

well this are probably moments most people didnt cry at expect the last one :

    When DOUG died (not DUCK)
When Lee burried the dog with the little zombie kid
    and the ending

when clem says "please dont go" to lee right before he passes... I was crying like a toddler who lost his lolipop :'(

It's been a while since I've played the game but if I recall correctly it was when Carley died out of the blue. Right before that had happened everything seemed like it would be going to be okay as long as we were all together despite the small quarrel inside the group which had escalated.
  • edited June 2013
I do not speak English, okay. I wanted to give her a hug. Poor Clem.
  • edited June 2013
The scene in the RV talking with Clem after Carley gets shot, our group was shattered and she was just gone so quickly.

The look on Kenny's face after he lost his family.

Seeing my best friend Kenny have a change of heart, and sacrifice himself. When Lee said "They're gone."

My eyes were waterfalls from the moment Clem saw her parents all the way through the credits.

I was a wreck just after it ended. (I didn't make Clem take the shot.) Clementine standing there by the door, so sad and scared, then Lee slides to the side against the radiator... heartwrenching. It's been a couple of days and I'm still recovering. In fact, I shouldn't be here. I should be doing other things to get my mind off it.

It makes me wonder, would I have been better off without this experience? Is entertainment worth so much sadness?

Ben's death got me sooooooooo bad. First of all, he was SEXY AS F*CK. Second, if you pulled him up, in the last episode when he keeps saying "I'm okay! I'm okay!" Carley's death shocked me. I was waiting for Larry to die, but I figured it would be his heart. Of course, there's Katjaa and Duck, though, too. KENNY IS STILL ALIVE. I SENSE IT. And obviously the ending tugged at your heart.

For some reason, I found the scene with when Lee buries the kid to be one of the most touching moments. Maybe it's a combination of the music and the close-up of the boy and his dog. I could picture him being upset that his best friend died, and now they're together.

The final scene. Actually, I teared up the first time I played it and full-on cried the second time. You would think that being ready for it would have helped, but I think it made it worse.
  • edited July 2013
    i think all of it.

1- Lee's death, i cried for DAYS i swear, i was so attached with Lee.
2- When Clem s saw her parents dead..
3- When Lee said "I'll miss you" and Clem said: me too.. i was like.. FU FU FU FU FU FU FU ;______; DON'T CRY, and BAM, i cried like a little b*tch :(
