Can you think of any character that is equal to the cast of the Walking Dead?

Is there any characters from other games that you think of that are as great as people like Lee and Clementine.

It's a shame I don't have PS3 as that game looks to be very simpler to Walking Dead.

Equal in what? Terms of writing? Or just similar in theme?

As far as survivor horror goes, they're easily the best. Alan Wake is an interesting character, but his story certainly doesn't have the same emotional resonance. I could actually say that about most survivor horror games I've played. Resident Evil has become more combat based of late and even so, theyre characters are lovably terrible. Issac from Dead Space 1 and 2 is good (his internal struggles) and Frank West will always have a special place in my heart.

But even though The Last of Us isn't out for another month or so I'd say it stands the chance of being on that same level of storytelling as telltale's series.

Indeed the Last of Us, if it makes everything right might come very close to the walking dead, but in my heart at least, that spot is reserved for Lee & Clem already, they were there first, and not only you feel much for them, care for them, but their personalities, and all the cool moments you had with them are so great, that I will never forget them, and I don't think they can be topped.

However I hope, I really do, that Naughty Dog took a page or two from both TWD's and Bioshock Infinite's book to make a companion as it should be. Personality from TWD, interactions witht he environment from BS, and not standing in you're way, and even being helpful from both.

    As for other characters...
I really like Commander Shepard, because just like Lee his personality is determined by me, you, the player - and thus he is as we like him, he has balls when we want him to, he shuts his mouth and is smart when we want him to, he fights his battles, both on the battlefield itself but also against the polititians as we want him to too.
Then there's Alan Wake, a very interesting man, but I didn't feel anything in his story, I simply didn't give a shit about his girlfriend, but cared more about the atmosphere, and later on about the story as well, when there was more than his girlfriend to think of.
Speaking of Mass Effect above, I could also name every single companion from the Mass Effect trilogy and actually give a lot of reasons, but that'd be a tad bit much.
Others I like: Vaas Montenegro, Buck, Hoyt (Far Cry 3), more or less the most people from the Dragon Age series, Merryl in special, because she was so gorgeously crazy, if not insane. Well I better stop my chart here, it's getting quite long... (there are so many more, and those were just the cherry on top of a huge cake)

Don't think anyone is better than them though, at least not for me.

I think we will see something like this in S2 or 3.

What I mean is good written characters that are as good as the cast of Walking Dead. Theme wise it does not even need to be horror or zombies, just someone you said is as good as Lee or Clem.

Agree, but horror and fear makes more emotions. I mean, story would not have been so complete without the brutal violence, blood and guts. Because it compels us do everything what we can for rid from these horrors their loved ones (Clementine in our case).

I would say... The two from Last of Us, which I can't wait to play!

Also, Oscar Morales of Jurassic Park the Game.

I'd say Ethan of Heavy Rain but he can be so bland...

Most of the cast from TWD comics.

In my opinion most characters of Cod: Big Red One. Now before you criticize and hate because of the franchise, but in the campaign, you get really close to a lot of the characters, and you see them grow in body, mind, and rank. You see them interact and become friends with your avatar, but slowly, they all get torn apart and killed in sad scenarios. Each character had it's own distinct personality, and they fought in a unit. They showed a range of emotions depending on the situation they were in, and many of the voice actors were of Band Of Brothers if I am correct. Quite a few of them I teared up at their deaths, and even those who I only met for maybe 5 minutes it felt like you knew them, and they might have even died saving you or protecting you from harm. In the end, only two of your entire squad survive, I just find the game sad and very enjoyable. So I know many will shoot me down, but I felt those men were well written, mainly Bloomfield(Brooklyn), Kelly, Hawkins, Denley, Delaney, Adam, and Smith(Smitty), and Peterson.

If I had to pick one, I'd say Alistair from DA:O. I always went along when he decided to get snarky, so we turned out to be the best of friends. I got a bit choked up when he was giving my eulogy at the end of my first playthrough.

I have same feels to big child named Alistair :) I feel sorry for him, poor dude, suffering from
unrequited love to Morrigan :D But in the end I gave him Morrigan, because he was a good friend and deserved it.
OMG Why do I say this? Just Memories came flooding.

Oouuuh, Alistair was great, always lightening up the mood, and still serious when you needed him.

Yeah, annoying him, or proposing something he didn't like was always hillarious, like for example (Major Spoiler ->)
asking if he'd marry Loghain's daughter for the greater good.
    He totally freaked out :D

Eh... you don't understand me, I meant that it's pretty funny and cute, that he is a big child :)

Mark$men, you are right as that was the era before shitty CODs like MW3, If only they could go back to that quality.

I understand you, I like his funny, childish reactions, so I sometimes do things to freak him out and see those reactions, always lightens up the tone of the game.

Unfortunately they're doing the exact opposite, less effort = more money - works for them I guess...

However, they don't even get what people loved about the old CoDs, I personally I liked them up to MW2 (multiplayer) as for singleplayers CoD 5 was the last good one in my opinion.

Ethan Mars from Heavy Rain. I cared for him as much as I did for Lee.

Ya, COD will never be as good as it used to be, how long can you really milk something anyway.

Battlefield better. MORE better. But let's not start this war OK? :D

Don't worry, I have never started a war over this anyway, I actually think Battlefield is miles ahead of COD, lets just hope they don't get milked to death.

To answer my own question I thought the main characters In Bioshock Infinite were as good as Lee and Clem, just my option though.
