Newbie question: How to save my progress?

Hi there!

Just started the game, seems really great, maybe a bit too spooky for my taste, but anyway:

How do I know that I can now quit the game without loosing my progress? There doesn't seem to be something like a "save function" in the menu. So when can I exit without a lost?

    The game automatically saves your progress as you play through the game. You don't need to manually save your game at all, since the game does it for you!

    I know, but it doesn't save all the time, right? When does it actually do this? Only on special points or something?

    I think the game saves between every "chapter"(the ones viewable from using the rewind button), and possibly before major quick time events(I'm not entirely certain). It's fairly frequent, and you can see that the game is saved whenever a gear/circle icon is displayed in the lower right corner.

    You'll never have to replay more than 15 minutes should you turn your system off before a savepoint. So yeah, it saves fairly frequent.

    Like ZeroShoot said it saves very often, not because it's suppose to be a hard game as this is not Dark Souls Walking Dead edition.
