(PC) The Walking Dead isn't working properly.

Hello. I purchased The Walking Dead on Steam and I am having trouble playing it. I was redirected here by their support staff. I am in progress of the story already and I am simply trying to resume play. When I hit resume, the game goes to a black screen with my mouse cursor still visible and movable. There is also a picture of an ax on the left hand side of the screen but I am unable to hear sounds or play the game. Any way to fix this? I attached a picture of what I am experiencing. Thanks for the help!

Please follow the instructions to run the Support Tool and attach the resulting "support_data_pc.zip" to your next reply in this thread.

Please make a backup copy of your savegame folder ( %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Telltale Games\The Walking Dead ) and then try rewinding to an earlier chapter of the episode.

I made a copy of it and tried again - no luck. It moved all of the saves over to the new one and then I tried to rewind but it didn't work. I also tried deleting the first one but it just created another one in its place. Am I doing something wrong?

I am not sure what's wrong.

If you .zip and upload your prefs.prop and *.save files i can take a look at them.
Please upload it to an instant filehoster and post the download link.

There is something wrong with your savegames.
Depending on the checkpoint I load, it's trying to load save_17.save or save_18.save which don't exist.

Rewinding to "Chapter 2: Infected" works though, and loads save 16.
