Remember how in Episode 3 how there were thousands of Zombies that appeared walking on the tracks coming from the direction they came from while riding the train?

Those are the same zombies you see outside of the bunker at the end of Episode 4/beginning of Episode 5.

Vernon spotted them coming from the train tracks while at the Bell Tower. Which is probably why he rounded everyone up and left the bunker.

even Vernon's response of 'nevermind' says a lot about his character, luckily we all knew about the train tracks being infested :D,just another case of Vernon trying to outsmart everyone.

Sadly I fell for his trick, when that boat when missing I did not think it was Vernon until we found the note, I am WAY to trusting toward people so that is going to change in Season 2 as I got burned for trusting Lilly and Vernon.

He saw the crowd of walkers, but didn't tell them, maybe because he already planed to betray.

Don't you find out Vernon took it when you let them out of the garage. I don't remember any note.

There will only be a note, if you take your whole group with you, to search for Clementine

I thought he was just assuming that the herd would happen, so he decided to leave. Because you'd think the rest of the group would see a herd in the distance, and also Lee sleeps throughout the night and wakes up, and around late morning the herd actually arrive which seems too long for it to happen.

Edit: I mean he saw the train and guessed that the noise would attract a herd into Savannah.

No matter of your choices, it happens anyway during the season 1.
