MST3K-style funny playthrough of TWD

'Ello, long time lurker, first time poster :)

I've started a gaming channel and a Let's Play of my favorite game seemed like the best place to start. I'm still on episode 1 and I'm emphasizing heavily on making it funny, Mystery Science Theater style, so if that sounds interesting check it out!

I should reiterate that I really enjoy the game so any time I sound like I'm being harsh it's entirely in jest. The game happens to lend itself nicely to a riffing.

(I wasn't quite sure where to post this, sorry!)

Nice lets play of episode 1 I liked it especially when you were talking about Larry digging a hole when there were walkers outside and surrounded by concrete I found it pretty funny and I like your content. Are you team Kenny from now on? I like your choices some similar to mine, I look forward to seeing you do episode 2 keep up the good work

    Thanks for replying :)

I generally go for "team Kenny" purely because I absolutely loathe Larry and, by extension, Lilly, although don't expect me to be jumping through hoops for the guy; if he's a dick I'll be the first to tell him!

You seem to know what happens you played it before? If not I must be mistaken.

Yeah, it's my second playthrough. Initially I was going to act entirely like it was my first time but I canned that pretty quickly 'cos I feel I can be funnier by pre-empting stuff (I have a few jokes that rely on stuff that's about to happen, for example.)

So you known about smashing Larry's head in are you going to do that? Most people say they want to kill him but when there given the chance they don't do it. I smash his head in not because I hated him, I tried my best to be nice it's just I couldn't risk it.

I kill Larry. I hated Larry enough to be actively looking for chances to kill him. He knocks you out and tries to leave you for dead, he is a complete detriment!

Wow that's a bit harsh don't you think. It doesn't matter it's your opinion I guess so I ended up jumping through a lot of hoops to please Kenny and I sometimes wonder if it was worth it. I might make a thread about that is betraying everyone just to please Kenny worth it. So when Larry's gone whose side do you pick you said you don't like Lilly so will you stay on Kenny's side. P.S. Are you from England I kinda guessed your accent.

So are you going to pick apart plot holes? That's what they do too, at least the guys from MSTK3 who are running Rifftrax now.

I am from England :) a town called Milton Keynes, but I now live in Tennessee.

With Larry I went for all the peaceful options during the confrontation and the guy still had it in for me. The entire first game is spent saving his life and he leaves you for dead. He then directly threatens you multiple times. He selfishly confronts you if you don't give him food, placing himself above everyone else. He is a terrible person, and I believe that if he wasn't killed there was a good chance he would lead to Lee's demise.

Of course, I didn't know he died either way,

I tend not to so much focus on plot holes, although I do point out absurd moments in the game - for example, how absurd it is that the woman in the motel room doesn't just say "hey guys, I'm bitten" and saved you all the trouble, and how she somehow managed to board up the door from the outside.

But hey, if you know of any specific plot holes, let me know and I'll keep an eye out!

Also, it's good to know of a fellow Rifftrax fan. They are doing Starship Troopers live this year in Nashville and I'm hoping to go see them. Birdemic live was hilarious.

Hey dude just wanted to let you know that your awesome playthrough of episode 1 had earned you another subscriber. I hope you don't mind me asking but when are you doing episode 2 or are you just leaving it as episode 1 and not planning to do a entire series?

I'm actually working on a video review of a game called Two Worlds. Once I've posted that I'll sort out Episode 2 :)

It turns out doing a video review of a game is really time consuming. It sounds obvious, but getting footage means actually playing the game, complete with tedious grinding. I had not realized this.
