Walking Dead frustration, requesting Config file

edited June 2013 in The Walking Dead
So, I was playing the walking dead, and my actions would not carry on to episode 2, so I looked up a fix. The first thing that came up was moving a prefs config file into the walking dead 102 folder, which worked when I played through episode 2. So I start playing to episode 3 where I realize that all my choices are completely not saved, and it doesn't even recognize I finished episode 2, so I try moving the config file back to the default folder, but then the game crashes when I try playing episode 2 or 3 (it asks me if I want to rewind, crashes if I say no), to which I resolved to delete all local contents through Steam.
I just redownloaded the game, and I really don't want to play through those 6 hours, of which I can maybe cut down to 3 at most.
Could someone please supply me with a save file with the following choices?
Episode 1: Lie/Shawn/Kenny/Don't give/Carley
Episode 2: Don't Chop/Shoot/Don't help kill/Don't Kill/Steal
To my knowledge, the config file should be put in the folder in the documents, and any config file in the default folder should be deleted?
These bugs really should not be happening, and really concerns the ability for it to pass data to season 2.

Thanks in advanced,
M.Copslang

    Welcome to the forums.

First let me suggest posting this topic here instead for better help.
My saves corrupted too at one point, after I messed around inside and moving those files. You're playing the steam copy? You really should have made a copy of your old saves before deleting local content. :(

Good luck finding someone with those choices AND willing to upload it for you, I would for you if I had chosen even remotely close to that. ;)

I don't know too much about coding, but wouldn't it be possible to manipulate the config file tailored to certain choices?

I'm not 100% certain, but I don't think anyone has been able to do that unfortunately. I imagine it'd be pretty complex and take way less time just to replay the game.
