sam & max 204 keeps crashing

whenever i start a new game, my computer just restarts itself. so far i have tryed updateing my graphic drivers, and reinstalling the game. any advice here would help.

    Have you updated your soundcard drivers and your DirectX? A computer rebooting is pretty much always caused by driver problems of some sort. So if this doesn't work, you may even want to try rolling back your drivers to a previous build.

    Also, when you tried reinstalling, did you do a clean download from the web? If not, give that a shot too.
