Saves carry over?

edited July 2013 in The Walking Dead
I lost all my data saves and don't really want to play them all through again. I've heard rumors that season 2 will use info from saved data in the 1st season, but i've heard nothing official to confirm it. Does anyone know if its been confirmed?

I hope it hasn't whats the point in carrying things over, they tied everything up really, whats the point in going back. They should just start completely new, new location, new characters etc etc.

They've said 400 days uses your Season 1 save date, and that Season 2 will use your 400 days save data.

I expect certain Season 1 characters to show up in 400 days, and as such Lee's interactions with them or decisions you made might have an obvious lingering effect.

They will probably use characters or story elements from 400 days in Season 2, and as such some of what you did will carry over.

It sounds like nothing you did in Season 1 will directly affect Season 2, so there's a good chance it will only have an impact on that 1 episode.

They are yet to confirm which if any characters from Season 1 will appear in Season 2. No point making assumptions without the facts.

If they decide to include Clementine in the next Season then obviously your decisions in Season 1 will matter, but they haven't said anything yet other than decisions you made in 400 days will carry over into Season 2.

i want to play that's no joke, but the whole save issues are definitely making me hesitant to even continue with this DLC.

regardless of saves the dlc should have a 'generalise choices option if you get stuck you may get lucky and have your choices picked ;)

They say that your choices in Season 1 will affect the story in Season 2. In an FAQ it stated that choices made in 400 Days will "resonate" in Season 2.

Interesting choice of word. To me it implies that 400 Days choices will be given a nod in the dialogue at the very most and have no noteworthy impact on S2 like the S1 might.

In other words they don't want 400 Days to throw any massive curveballs at what's already there. They don't want to alienate fans. And they definitely don't want to lock newer players out of anything remotely important for simply skipping 400D. That would just look like underhanded business practices to some of the more "entitled" customers.

But man I do hope that S1 choices cause consequences in S2. For all we know, anything as little as the tool choice in ep3 could cost a life. Any remnants of what we left behind.

who's to say ttg won't include the dlc as a pre order bonus for season 2 for 'new players' ?

heck even entice new players with everything season 1 + 400 days when pre-ordering s2 ?

    i'll take a commission on that idea jake/puzzle/harrison ;)
