Why I don't like Kenny
I've decided to go back and do another playthrough before 400 Days came out. I've stuck by all my major decisions and I've forgotten how much of a butt Kenny can be. I'm not saying I hate him, but overall I think he's so narrow-minded that he turns his back on you just for going against him one time.
I admit I didn't like Larry, but I stick by my decision to help Lilly. Actually, after you do a few compressions, you'll see him take a breath. So, Kenny basically killed someone in cold blood. In episode 3 I was civil to him and I never fought him or yelled at him; even after dropping me at the pharmacy, I asked him if he was okay and he blew me off . And then a-hole just decides to leave me for dead, not including the time at the farm.
It seems to me that Kenny's only loyal to you if you agree with him. I understand him being a little miffed at first, but he actually has the guts to say in Ep. 5 that I only look after myself after looking out for his family?
That's big, considering I despised Duck. Really, I wasn't the least bit sad when he got bitten. In Ep. 3 I wanted to tell him to leave me alone and play in a highway of walkers, which he would probably do.
I can see why Kenny would lose it after watching both his wife and kid die, but that still doesn't excuse him. At first I was mad that I picked Lilly's side after what she did, but I don't regret my choices. When Kenny sacrificed himself, I felt more sad over what could've been more than I did for him, if that makes sense. I suppose, in a way, he did redeem himself, which is more than I can say for Lilly.
It's wierd how a game can make you despise and feel sorry for someone.

I'm sorry Kenny fans
A lot of people bring up the argument that you see Larry's lips move before Kenny kills him, which may prove he was alive. It's a fair point, and probably shows that Kenny was wrong.
However, at the time of making the decision there was no way to know this. Until this point in the game things had been far less linear, take Doug/Carley for example. There was no way to know whether trying to save Larry would lead to Lilly, or Kenny, or even Clem being bitten.
It's a very easy choice to make in hindsight, but on your first playthrough Kenny makes a pretty convincing argument.
I also feel this way about killing the St Johns. As we now know they're pretty much dead anyway due to zombies getting in, it's an easy choice to spare them. At the time there's no way to know that sparing Andy wouldn't lead to Carly, Lily or even Clem being raped to death by a deranged cannibal.
Same with the supplies, we know the group takes them anyway, but when faced with the choice you didn't know whether Lee would convince the rest of the group to leave them and it would lead to someone starving to death and maybe turning. After all it's only Kenny and Kat who want to take the stuff, Carly is neutral and the rest of the group is opposed to it. Lee had just protected the whole group from a terrible threat and almost seemed to have stepped into a leadership role at that moment, with him leading the pack through the woods and everyone following behind. It was conceivable to me at the time that saying no would mean the supplies were left.
Good points, but that requires you to think ahead of the current situation, and not everyone does that. On some of these choices you don't have time to think about anything, it has to be here and now(like the meat locker decision).
(Also, it's not major, but if you watch Larry closely you can see his eyes open a slit the whole time he is prone. While this doesn't necessarily mean he's dead, it does make it seem more likely to me.)
I chose to help Kenny and not Lilly because I simply couldn't take the chance of Clem getting hurt, and because Kenny was the one with the RV; I didn't even dislike Larry (I knew he was only looking out for his daughter.)
I know he's a good guy under it all but he has his issues.
Episode 1 and 2 I helped him at every turn but I wouldn't Kill Larry
After that he blamed me for everything when if he had not killed Larry nothing would have fallen apart...
Kenny caused all the trouble and was worse than Larry as Larry was at least honest...
Doug, Chuck, Christa.
He prefers using a salt lick.
father was killed by Kenny.
Always Dispute with Kenny for a long time.
Duck wsa bite,Katjaa is sad,sad,sad.
and the 4 month living.
That is kinda funny. I wish one of the options was "The cancer ridden octogenarians kicked your ass!".
lol!
I stuck up for him and Duck against Larry
I helped kill Larry since Kenny was right and making that decision was going to keep Clementine safe.
I went against Kenny's wish for me to drop Ben by saving him.
And when I was bit and needed him the most to help me find Clementine, he didn't even hesitate and told me that I was always there for him and his family and he would help me without question.
Kenny is a really good friend and you're loyal to him.
In the game, any choices and decisions are "reasonable"
You only need to make a "not contrary to own inner"
