I think the end is determinant is Nate keeps you (temporarily) or you walk away from him.

They seem to die no matter what. x_x

Apparently, they had just been attacked by a masked assailant. No idea whether that was Nate or not, but either way, they (thought) they were defending themselves. I don't fault them for that, I'd have done the same thing.

That wasn't my war, and they were no longer a threat. I stood to Nate and walked away.

    Unfortunately, he killed them anyway.

    i see two possibles

nate was the masked dude and was indeed coming back to finish them off, he seemed sort of shocked they remembered stuff and seemed to quickly change his tune to keep up the act of fooling russel.

the other is of course he just went along with them and justified shooting them to him self and russel but wasn't the guy they thought he was..

i kind of want to believe he was the masked guy, considering he shot them, after russel walked away and he seemed pretty sure there was fuel in the pumps and food/supplies there.

I understood Russell's personality and I walked away from Nate.

I didn't. All because of Nate's face at the thought of killing the couple and taking everything from them.

Walked away. I thought Nate was fucking crazy from the first second I saw him. Then, during the actual shootout, that working together stuff we did actually made me like him, and overlook his slight craziness because he actually did have my back. Then I immediately realized he was even MORE fucking crazy after we actually got inside. Too bad he killed them anyway.

Murdered the old people and took their stuff

    I did not.

They were elders, plus the way the old man spoke about Nate had me suspicious (plus Nate's look... *cringe*), so I made Russel walk away. I wasn't going to have their blood on my hands.

I chose not to say anything and Nate killed them in front of me. To be honest, I regret none of it. They tried to kill me and Nate for no other reason than that we drove up. While I know there's some speculation as to whether or not Nate is the masked man, we know for a fact that Russell wasn't involved. And, depending on how you play it, Russell is going to take a bullet to the side of the head just for being there. Plus, the spook comment wasn't all that nice lol. So y'all might say that I'm going to have those old people's blood on my hands, I have no shame about it. The world is actually a bit better for them not being there. Because imagine what they would've done to the next people who happen to come along.

Could someone tell me what Nate wanted from Russel when he lowered the windshield and F*cked Russel?

When Nate speeded up he told Russell on a scale from 1 to 10.

Since Russell was scared Nate lowered the windshield and forced Russell to rate him 10.

At least Nate's not a racist.

"I'm crazy; I like shootin' people; and I'm crazy. But racism? That's where I draw the line. Except when it comes to asking about whether you're in a gang of other boys wearing hoodies and robbing people. That's not the same kind of racism." -- Nate, because he is crazy.

If I knew what was going on, I would have rated Five just to spite Nate. Instead, I was a bit overwhelmed, so Russell screamed until Nate drove away instead of saying anything.

Is it me, or is anyone else reminded of Norm MacDonald when the see/hear Nate?

Nate couldn't have been the person that shot the old man's wife. Why would Nate blindly park within a sniper's sight? If he was there before, he wouldn't park out in the open knowing he could've gotten shot at.

I just walked away, I couldn't take that fucker anymore!
