TWD: "Connection Lost While Downloading Data.." For New Episodes

edited July 2013 in Game Support
Howdy, I've seen a few threads about this subject on Google and such, but after purchasing the game from the Telltale Store which came pre-downloaded with Episode One, the game seems to refuse to download any of the newer episodes.

I'd just like to know if this is an issue with the servers due to 400 Days release and the massive bandwidth consumption? I keep seeing "Solved, just clicked download for the sixth time" as the resolving matter, but it doesn't seem to be getting any better.

The old workaround with resetting the patches seemed to work and start the downloads, but it was quite slow and 400 Days was not shown on the DLC screen due to the date of release.

Any help would be appreciated and such.

We are aware of this issue and currently looking into a solution. Can you please elaborate on the old workaround you mention?

    I refer to DjNDB's post here: http://www.telltalegames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=36228
..in response to the post made in 2012 here: http://www.telltalegames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=36038

He also made another Python Script based fix-it that I have not even attempted to try here for downloading the episodes manually: http://www.telltalegames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33233

Note, that the second link actually did work, but did not include 400 Days in the Episode Listing, and the download speed was at a crawl.

I just updated the alternative download, so you can try it. I currently only get about 400-500 KB/s though.

Do you recommend simply waiting, or do you think that won't fix anything?

That's your choice. You can either download it now using the alternative download, or wait until TTG has fixed the issue.
