Russel's Story - Turn the gun on Nate?

Hey guys.

When playing Russel's story in 400 Days, around the part where you're dodging bullets to get to the back of the truck stop, he gives you the option of going first and he'll cover you, or he'll go first and you cover him, so I chose for him to go first and I'll cover him.

After he gave me the gun, it gave me the option of betraying Nate turn the gun on him. Now, since this was my second playthrough for Russel (Messed the first one up by not hiding to see Doug/Carly), I didn't choose to betray him, and just covered him.

Does anybody know what happens if you betray him? And does it have any effect on him [Russel] coming with you at the end?

    He points the gun at Nate, but even if you then choose the [shoot him] option... he won't do it and Nate simply takes the gun back and starts giving cover fire. he won't throw the gun over after that and will shoot towards the old man while running.

    i don't think it has an effect tbh... whatever you do, Russel will be very wary of going with Tavia anyway. The only important factor (I think) is whether you stay with Nate or not (and what you say as Tavia).

    I don't know if any of the previous dialogue options have an effect on whether or not: a) Russell turns the gun on Nate (i.e. you're granted this option with multiple negative responses towards him) or b) that Russell has a chance of joining Tavia's group outside of appealing to him meeting friends and family at the community.

    In any case, Russell pulls the gun on him. Nate calls Russell out on his bluff. As Russell is shaking with the gun in his hands on whether to actually shoot him or not, Nate snatches the gun away from him.

    Oddly enough, after the next run (to the door), you can thank Nate for covering you after that tension.

    seems like a bit of a copout..

    nates clearly a bad person pretty much from the start. and he is the person chasing wyatt and eddie noted by the lack of a headlight cos you shoot it out as wyatt.

    i'll add it to my nit pic topic lol

    I don't see how Russell will shoot Nate. I had him leave Nate and he was wary. However, with the promise of finding friends, he will go.
