Considering platform switch –*how much does Season 1 affect the rest?

So I'm really looking forward to playing the new DLC and eventually Season 2, but I was really unhappy with how Season 1 performed on my Mac. I had huge issues with the game recognizing my save data and had to do some annoying work arounds every time I played. I still enjoyed the game, but it was a huge hassle.

For this reason, I was planning on playing Season 2 on PS3 instead of my Mac.... that is until I discovered 400 Days uses Season 1 decisions and Season 2 will use decisions from 400 Days.

My question is how much does Season 1 even affect the DLC and how much will the DLC affect Season 2?

I'd really rather not repurchase and replay all of Season 1, but I also don't want the story I've played so far to be thrown out if it's implemented well in the DLC.

Has anyone who's played 400 Days tell me how much the S1 decisions actually affect the DLC? Should I just start fresh playing 400 days without a S1 save? Am I better off skipping 400 and just starting fresh on Season 2? What's your take?

You can never really play 400 Days without some sort of input from Season 1..if you try to play 400 Days straight away without playing the first season, it will generate determinant choices as if you DID play it. Also, due to spoilers, I will only say that yes, some decisions you made in Season 1 will be referenced in 400 Days. You will have to play and see for yourself, though.
