Clementine and Rebecca.

edited July 2013 in The Walking Dead
Okay, so I'll avoid the obviously comparissons between Clementine.

But, as you know, Rebecca is obviously the "Clementine" character of this game. Now, what say are the hopes of them two meeting?
Could you imagine what it'd be like..?
Oh..boy...

She's more similar to Carl personality wise.

Obviously, but she takes on hte "child" role that the guardian must guard and guide.
But, could you imagine when the two meet? I think the world is going to explode from pure rivalry.

    She's like the Anti-Clem

I hope she doesn't taint Clementine with her evil ways if they meet in the future. I just really hate Becca, she's always negative and grumpy, which is strange since Shel seems to be doing a good job "parenting".

    This.

I have no doubt Becca (and or Shel) will be long dead/Lilly'd off by the end of Season 2.

    HELL NO.

I actually hope Becca dies/disappears before it happens. She deserves more hate than Duck and Ben altogether.

Is it just me or did anyone else dislike her character once I seen the resemblance I hAted her. And like some one said before she's like Carl I hate Carl.

Clem might encounter Becca in S2 (maybe a little bonus scene for those who played 400 Days/had Shel and Becca go with Tavia), who frightens her as an example of what she could easily become if she's not careful. I definitely agree with ZacTB's post that Becca was designed to be the "anti-Clem."

Becca is like a Lilly in training. If she and Clem meet, I hope Clem won't be influenced by her.

That would probably depend on how Lee brought Clem up.

I actually hope that Clem doesn't meet Becca. Clem still retains her innocent personality (I hope), while it's obvious that Becca is already changed by the events of the apocalypse. We'll just have to see if the choices we made as Shel will affect Becca in season 2.

Or maybe Becca was just always a little asshole haha

Lee and Clem are already being replaced. :p

    Why the hate?

I think her and Clem would make a good combo.

    Stop hating! ;-)

Becca defitnetly reminds me of a 'Carl-esque' type of person, by that means she is harsh for a child. She seems to take the harsher decisions and punishments to a better understanding and tolerance compared to an adult. Just like Carl.

However I feel Clementine could cause Becca to redeem herself. With Carl, in the comics he didn't have that much interaction with children other than with Sophia claiming that they're in a relationship. However it's not very developed and usually just hidden behind the main focus on the comics.

I feel that if Becca and Clementine ever met, that they would certainly be friendly to each other, and Christa and Shel would be great friends.

However if she even so much as makes Clem feel scared or uncomfortable, I will kill that dumb child myself, if Shel disagrees too f*cking bad. I doubt Becca has been through nearly the amount of hardship Clementine has been through.

From the looks I found myself thinking: "If Clem,... sorry when Clem reaches the age of around 14, this is how she'll look like... probably.... somehing like that..."

Personality wise they're quite different, but well they could get along, maybe Clem's influence would warm Becca up. Who knows?

She's a teenager. During the apocalypse. I didn't like her either (I don't like most teenagers...even when I was one) but I don't think she's irredeemable or anything. She just needs to grow up and learn to "be a mensch". Hopefully Shel's influence will help that.

Or she'll get eaten by a zombie. Either way.

I expect Becca to use Clem as bait.

You do realise that Becca has spent nearly 4 times the length of time in the apocalypse when we last saw her than Clem had when she was last seen don't you? I doubt Becca started out the way she is. In 400 days she would have seen far more atrocities than Clem would have by the time she was in Savannah, hence her out look. Becca lost her innocence along time ago. For all we know Clem could have been safely settled in at Tavia's settlement, eating cornflakes and playing tic tac toe or double dutch by the 200 day mark.

Bearing in mind that if Becca was to meet Clem it wouldn't be until 400 days or beyond there is no telling that Clem would be how we remembered her by then anyway. She could be changed by her experiences in the way Becca probably was. I don't think she started out being callous. She was a normal, sweet happy girl once. The photo of the birthday party shows that.

Wow! That's a bit harsh. You barely know know her. If Teltale decided to start season 2 during the 400 day mark Clem could, by then share her out look. If that were so,would you want her dead too?

In the comics Carl can be quite cold at times but that is because of the terrible things that he's gone through. He isn't a bad kid at heart and neither is Becca, they just need an opportunity to have a good cry and get their anger out, neither of them probably had a chance to do that because of the way they have lived. Shel tries hard to keep her on track but she is only one person, a small morale compass in a harsh and ruthless world.

Becca could just as easily be a foreshadow of what Clem would become bearing in mind that she was seen far further in the apocalypse than Clem was when she was in Savannah. I don't know about you but I told Clem to keep moving and not settle down in one place. Besides Omid and Christa, my Clem probably wouldn't have been inclined to trust anyone and that was probably around the 90 days mark. Who knows what she would be like if Telltale were to start season 2 after the 400 days mark and show flash backs of how she got out of Savannah.

I agree, seems more like Carl.

I don't like Becca because she lies to herself about who she is. When Shel calls her out and says "You do it." She backs off, because she really isn't the lean mean survivalist she thinks she is. I love Carl, because he makes no qualms about doing it, he would have followed through on what he said. But Becca is just using this attitude, and forcing her sister to compromise her own morality (which is arguably the most important thing to Shel other than Becca's morality), just because Becca is too scared to face the fact that she is human and she's going to run into some tough decisions.

In the words of Russell, Becca "ain't shit". Clementine WOULD pull the trigger if push came to shove, Becca would freeze up, Carl already shot.
  • But in episode 1 of season 2, Clementine had spent more time in the apocalypse than Becca had in 400 days, yet she's still much friendlier than Becca and has very differing morals. Plus Becca probably didn't have to kill her sister or leave her as she was dying, which would be comparable to the ending of season 1.
