My predictions for Season 2

edited July 2013 in The Walking Dead
So 400 days is out and we've seen many new characters. With that said, 400 days is supposed to fill a gap between season 1 and 2, but I was thinking "How exactly does it do this?" Seeing as how season 1 ended close to day 126, and as 400 days had almost no prevalence to season 1.

So I continued thinking and I feel season 2 is gonna start in one of two ways. The first way being you start out as clem where season 1 left off, and you figure out who the people on the hill are. Now if they start it this way I feel episode 1 would involve directly after season 1 but then it would time skip in episode 2 to shortly after 400 days where clem and whoever the two figures were are now in Tavia's safe area, and you meet up with all the 400 days people.

Now another way I can see season 2 starting is in episode 1 of season 2, you choose from any of the characters that went with Tavia, to be your main character to play as. This is supported by the fact that it seems Bonnie always goes with Tavia, so you would always have a 400 days survivor to choose from. So in this start we wouldn't even know what happens to Clem till later in the season.

Just some thoughts of mine.

I like the second theory a lot better, mostly because I don't see Telltale giving us control of Clem. I feel like Clem has been too developed and has their own personality already. If we had control of her we would feel almost obliged to force her to make the choices and have the personality we already know she has. Part of what made Lee so great is we didn't know him so his personality became our personality. When you made decision you didn't think "what should Lee do?" you would think, "What should I do?" With Clem you wouldn't be able to have the same player-protagonist bond that season 1 gave us with Lee.

I also think having the ability to choose your character would make replaying the game that much more awesome.

My second idea seems the most plausible in my opinion. It will also add wonderment because you don't know if clem is alright until they reveal her at some point later.

I doubt you'll choose the s2 lead but the fact that Bonnie always goes probably means she'll be significant, at least initially.

Or,you play as one of the people who Clem sees at the end.
