2 Different Watchdogs?

Can someone explain me one thing? Why there's 2 different watchdogs in the Shel's history depending on what you do in Russel's history (about staying or leaving Nate)?

First time I've played, Russel left Nate and when I played Shel's history, the walker that Roman fed was a cop.

Second time I've played, I decided to let Russel stay with Nate. When I played Shel's story, for my surprise, the walker Roman fed was the old man killed by Nate.

But if Nate kills the old couple anyway, why the old man wasn't in the position of watchdog in the first time I've played?

The only explanation I've found was that if Russel leaves Nate (you don't actually SEE Nate shooting the couple), maybe Nate shot the old woman, but was killed by the old man (he had a gun). That would explain why the watchdog changed.

Right?

Yeah i was JUST thinking about weather or not to post this! hahaha wow! but yeah on both my plays the first time it was the officer from the prison bus, second time it was the old dude from the diner, i think it may have been something to do with what happens in wyatts story but im not sure, i just left him in the road and headed back to the car in wyatts story for the old dude to be the dog

Great to know it's was not just me to find it strange !

I still think that when Russel leaves, we only hear 2 shots from guns coming from inside the dinner.
We all understood that Nate killed both old man and old woman... BUT, maybe, he shot the old woman and the old man shot him.

Cause there's no explanation for the old man not being a watchdog in the first time.

No nate was not a dumbass lol he would have shot the armed guy first rather then a half dead old lady, and dont they talk about nates fate in the final part anyway? I cant remember

I left Nate while I was in the diner.
I had the cop and woman as the two watchdogs.

I had the cop (which I found strange since Russel stepped on his face) and the old lady (who had clearly been gutshot)

I also had Russel leaving nate and then hearing two gunshots.

    Yeah, me too.
But I decided to play the game one more time and changed my decision about leaving Nate. After that, when I played Shel's history, the watchdgos were the old lady and the old man.

Why? Why it was not the old lady and the cop again?

It was a differnt cop, russel steped on the kinda fat one while the black one ends up the dog

    But that's the only explanation.
The only reason for the old man not being a watchdog in the second "version" is if he's not dead. If Russell stays, we SEE Nate shot both and the stains in the couch.
But if Russel leaves, we only hear the gunshots, but don't actually see who shot who. And I don't remember getting the option to see the stains in the couch in the first time, but could be my bad...

I dont think we will ever find out what happens to nate, i think TT are done with that character, so it dont even matter, the changing of watch dogs means NOTHING to the story, just a cool way to twine the storys together

That makes sense, I have to admit I didn't look too closely.

Hey dont sweat it, could be worse, i mean did you know that people in the youtube comment section for the trailer were all like

" OMG IS THAT ZOMBIE LEE AT 1:28?? I RELE THINK IT IS GUYS "

they were talking about the part in the trailer where shel looks at it, they see a black guy walker in chains and assume its lee, Just because he was in chains the last time we saw him, that is 1st class dumbassery!
