Anyone feel bad about the dead puppy?

edited July 2013 in The Walking Dead
I have, though I am glad that Telltale made the puppy looking more like a cartoon stuffed animal. I think I wouldn't take it if it looked realistic, still alive, and struggled while being eaten.

I did, I love dogs. Poor puppy I have a real soft spot for small animals.

I honestly thought it was a stuffed animal at first lol I was wondering why there was blood. Then Shel said it was a puppy and I was like "ohhhhh"

Yeah - I thought it was a teddy bear when I first saw it.
    I actually laughed...

I also thought it was a stuffed bear or something and didn't understand what Shel was so upset about until she told Becca it was a puppy.

I watched my girlfriend play through the episode later and she also assumed it was a toy.

I wasn't that sad, really. That kind of thing is probably normal in their new world. I was angry at Becca immediately after, though. Stupid kid would have been shot if it had been anyone else.

I thought it was a toy and didn't felt that bad lol

No, but I hate dogs. Also I thought it was some sort of weasel or something.

Now if it was a kitten, I'd be hunting down the Telltale dev who wrote Shel's story to destroy them with my bare hands.

I thought it was a child's bloody stuffed animal. I was wondering why the walker was eating it. When Shel said it was a puppy, that made me a little more sad. I also felt a little dumb in retrospect, but I am glad to see I wasn't the only one.

Same. It didnt look real. None the less, I like my dog better than most humans so I did feel pretty bad.

this lol, i thought it was a teddy bear.

    omg, me too!

I am glad that the puppy looks like a stuffed cartoon animal since I would be upset otherwise.

I wanted to kill the walker who was eating it immediately after i saw it. It doesn't totally look like a real puppy, but i knew that's what they were aiming for.

    I didn't...

I want to, but I didn't care if the watchdog was eating a young puppy...

    I WANT TO CARE!

I don't like dogs... so.. no, didn't give two anal expulsions about it.

A kitten on the other hand...

I was extremely upset on the inside,I just got a new puppy a month or two ago as well,so,it hit me right in the frakking heart.
  • edited July 2013
No, it looked like a teddy.

Agreed, if it were a kitten, I'd be handing out pitchforks and torches.

So Telltale, what do you have ageist puppy's.

Not just puppies, but dogs in general, remember the one in episode 4.

I forgot about poor Walter getting eaten by Walkers and then being buried, only to be dug up and has his head fall off, this is enough proof to tell me that Telltale likes cats and hates dogs!!!

They were using the chained up remains of an elderly woman who was murdered along with her husband as a haphazard sentry. The dead dog isn't what got a rise out of me.

Good point, though the other watchdog could be a cop of you never went through with Nate's plan like I did.

Having a six months old kitten myself, this is completely true. I didn't feel sad about the puppy in Season one. This one didn't even look like a real dog.

After wandering around the area and having time to accept the fact that none of the characters would object to such an act, i started to calm down. Then i approached the walker in the back...

Not really, it looked like a toy, I was spending a bit of time trying to figure out just what it was eating. If it had been a puppy the group had found and were taking care of, I might have cared. Well, I would have cared.

I hate it when people say "Oh cats are better than dogs" or "Oh dogs are better than cats" and I feel really hurt some people on this thread don't give a sh*t about the puppy but are saying if it was a kitten they would start hating on telltale how does that work?! Sure some people are just going to say "Its a video game get over it" I don't care if its a video game. I was going to say something else but people would start hating on me instead. It's just how I feel ok!

That puppy is the only character in TWD I feel a real emotional attatchment to...
Why did you do Mr Wiggles?
    WHY?
  • edited July 2013
No. If Shel had a gun I would have shot Becca. I thought she was a zombie.
  • edited July 2013
Hate to bring this up, but Dogs > Cats. Simple fact. Cats are jerks. I much rather see a emotionless cat die than a friendly dog.
  • edited July 2013
frankly i didn't give two shits about it

I agree! It is like saying "If Duck was black, I would be irate at his death. But since he is white, who cares." Does it really matter the species of an animal for one to get their heart strings tug? The whole point that Shel and Telltale games are trying to make is that the TWD world has become such a different place where most ppl (like Becca) are indifferent towards the brutal deaths of innocent babies regardless of species and race. Shel was heavily affected by it because it was a baby whereas Becca didn't give a shit.

I was being sarcastic, sorry I honestly really did not even see what it was eating, I was a shaken a little when I found out it was a puppy.

The post isn't towards you, but other posters who made it clear that unless it was a kitten, they don't give a shit

Yes I know, I felt sorry for the puppy, just like Walter the dog from season 1, i wonder how a puppy even made it that far just for it to get eaten, questions abound...

Thank you for agreeing with me, I was worried people would start hating on me. Why don't the people on this thread don't give a sh*t about the puppy but would care more if it was a kitten anyway.

They could be trolling, are very bias towards cats over dogs, or are kids who don't know better - that is, the species of the animal doesn't matter. it is the fact that the animal was an infant.
