Bye Bye Boyd

Whether he's alive or dead by the end of 400 DAYS, I think it's safe to say we've probably seen the last of Boyd. But who was he really? A seemingly insignificant background character in S1, he's one of the few voices of warmth and compassion in 400 DAYS.

Boyd was also the only member of Vernon's group who confessed outright that stealing the boat was wrong, despite living in a world where "right" and "wrong" have apparently become irrelevant. There's so little that we'll ever know about this sad old man. He urged Shel to escape with Becca, knowing full well that things were getting ugly in Roman's camp, he told Vernon to accompany Lee into the sewers, even when Lee was still on uneasy terms with the cancer survivors, and he was an aspiring painter.

Let's all give a toast for this poor guy, a fella who always sought to do right in a time when few people cared. Let's hope we'll all be as naive as he was if we're ever stuck in a zombie apocalypse.

If you had told me I would be sad over one of the cancer survivors I would have said you were full of crap, but I honestly feel bad for the guy. He was not a bad person, he reminded me of Dale and to a extent Carley, being a good person in the middle of a bad situation, I hope the rest of your hopefully long life will go well Boyd *Raise glass in honor of a good man.*

He was the only Cancer Survivor I liked, especially when he showed remorse over what they did to Lee's group. I chose to let the first prisoner go. I felt kinda bad when I found out he died because of that.

I was neutral about if I liked him or not, but when he said he was sorry and said it was not right I started to really like him, then he died... You think I should have learned to stop liking people that are side characters.

Actually, I was surprised on how things play out in 400 days. Wasn't expecting like clicking the gun to be so... final. Like I would have another chance to say that I couldn't do it... kind of always felt bad about that choice. However, as I rewinded since I realized that it felt so wrong killing Stephanie, I also made sure that I killed the stranger before that moment. When I knew that guy wasn't innocent at all, I couldn't let him go. When did walking dead start doing so ironical stuff? I mean, Boyd was the only one against killing this man, and he was the only one to get killed because of it.
