400 Days, Steam, Russell's Story, Bug

Hello,

I've found a bug and I'm wondering how to circumvent it.

I'm with Russell at the truck stop. He peeks above the truck to find the mysterious shooter and is shot in the dead. I receive the window to "click to continue."

When I do, the game loads to a glitchy view of the ground near the truck, I hear the pickup driver say something, a gunshot and then I receive the "Click to continue" screen. I've tried pushing various movement buttons before the gunshot to no success. Is there a way I can get out of this? I wouldn't even mind playing the first couple of minutes of Russel's story over again, honestly.

    I get past that point and get to the part where im given the option to either cover him or he can cover russell and i choose to cover him but the curser never lets me move all the way to right side of screen to shoot sniper
