400 Days is about as good as episode 1 was for me. We're introduced to the cast, and we get a small taste for who they are and where they come from. I like that we went back before the outbreak too, and some of the stories feel pretty fresh...not just in the game series itself, but it feels fresh in comparison to the comics and television show, which shows just how much care TellTale is putting into this franchise.
I really think these guys have something unique and unpredictable planned. Something that may top Lee's ending...which I'm not sure if I should be looking forward to that, or be incredibly sad. Who knows what's gonna happen?
Don't know if I liked it more than all the other episodes combined, but yeah, Telltale hit it out of the park again with 400 days. After the emotional rollercoaster that was season 1, this was a welcome change and breath of fresh air.
I enjoyed 400 Days and the scenarios it set up, but I still see it as the quick side-story meant to tide things over between seasons.
It's comparing the immersion of several 15 minute stressful situations to the pacing of a whole overarching conflict and fully developed cast of connected characters.

So you're saying you like Season 1 better than Season 1!

Nothing can top Episode 2, though
And now I'm ready for more!!
