Will The Governor be in season 2?

edited July 2013 in The Walking Dead
Sorry about that other thread, I was really tired when I posted that thread about Clementine and I wasn't thinking about the consequences.

Do you think that Philip/Brian Blake and Penny Blake will appear in season 2?

They don't want to cross the game with the TV show too much I think

The Game is in the comic canon, not the TV canon.

I hope not, the TV show just did the Woodbury story line. Let it rest for a bit.

No its very unlikely. They might add some minor characters before or after Rick's group, but Woodbury is to major and if we were to see the Governor it would have to be before Rick found the prison which I think season 2 will take place after.

Either around 120 days in Savannah at the end of season 1, or at 400 days with Tavia's settlement. Either way I don't see Woodbury making an appearance.

It won't, the only thing they had in line with the comics was Episode 1, and that is it and I am fine with that.

I really hope not,i dont want characters from comic or tv because since they are protected by Canon there not interesting because there is no surprises. Telltale should stick to creating their own original characters.

I do not want to see the guy ever again... I've seen him in the show, comics and in the first of the books (haven't read them all yet). I've had it enough with that guy, just... no.

The guv is dead by the time 400 days takes place and im sure tt would not release 400 days and then make season 2 happen b4 it!!! How hard is that to understand that alot ofmpeople fro the comics are dead or unable to appear in game

I don't know why, maybe when everything has been said about 400 Day's people turn to stuff that will never happen to keep talking.

    Yes, and no.

The TV series is loosely adapted from events and characters set in the comic books. You have Rick, and a majority of the cast from the TV series (minus T-Dog, and the Dixon Brothers) as well as the events of Atlanta, Hershel's Farm, and the Prison happening, although they differed quite a bit in the adaptation, with character roles remixed or removed altogether.

They aren't crossing with the TV series, yes. However, the game is a side story that transpires in the universe of the image comics, so events and characters do show up from the world of The Walking Dead.

The Governor for example was humanized way too much in the show. They really didn't sell him as the monster he's supposed to be. The Governor as he is shown in the comics is a much bigger beast, and much nastier than his television counterpart.

That being said, I really don't want to see him in the game series at all. At least, not in TellTale's version. It would be way too predictable, and we know that it wouldn't be good news for him to show up, and he's recently appeared in the third season of the show, so that would be overexposure.

Sides, Nate looks like he could fill in as a great antagonist, and it would be something new.
