Was Lilly...

edited July 2013 in The Walking Dead
In love with Lee? Could she have shot Carley because she was jealous of her and Lee falling in love? And then when she steals the RV, she says "Run away with me". I just hope this doesn't get reported like that other thing.

I do not believe at all that was the case at all, like she would like Lee after we made sure her father would not come back. So no I do not believe that was it, and it was then she has even more problems then I thought.

As long as you don't mention Clementine having a lover again it should be ok. In my playthrough I think Lily did have feelings for Lee(nothing as intense as love however) considering he sided with her alot more and if she and carley lived on who knows could be a love triangle situation.Lol

She had no feelings, at least I do not think she had feelings, it was never obvious as Carley, and even if you side with her every time I think she sees you not as a friend, but rather a asset and nothing more, and we really do not need a love triangle seeing at the TV show had one and the comics does not care.

I agree pretty much but i don't think Lily is as cold a person as to use them as assets. If Lee sides with her he is the only person she can trust in the whole group

To me she was, but it's all opinion, that and I have a huge diastase for Lilly, just throwing that out even though I am pretty sure you knew that already.

Lol yeah the team kenny to the end was a bit of a giveaway! :D

I sided with her in the meat locker and i think thats the defining factor on what kind of relationship you have with her in the next episode. As i said in my other thread i sided with lily mostly at the start but i still came to count kenny as a good friend by the end.

True, it does depend on what you do but I think it's important to know that she betrays you even if you sided with her every time, she still tells everyone that you killed someone and still drives away, at least if you side with Kenny he repays you by being a friend, Lilly repays you by screwing you over.

True but the way I seen it was that she wasn't herself after seeing her father killed, the lily before that i don't think would have shot carley.

I did not think she was capable of killing someone in are group, but I was proven wrong so you never know what someone is capable of until they do it, so I know what she can do now so there is no way in hell she will ever trick me again.

Seems like it, I really don't care what Lilly thinks or wants, she is going to die and that is all matters

Of course she was in love with Lee.

He's such a badass, what do you expect?

I think I even got a few flirtatious glances from Katjaa. :)

If you didn't kill Larry I assumed that Lee was the only one she trusted whilst the paranoia was setting in, but I didn't get a romantic vibe.
at least if you side with Kenny he repays you by being a friend.
It's a bit tiring seeing this relentless defense of Kenny where it isn't' even the basis of the topic. Saving his kid's life and defending his family wasn't enough to cement you as the guy's friend if you disagree with him once.

Sorry, first instinct when finding someone that likes Lilly is to say something along that line, sorry.

I could sense some chemistry between the two, even when I sided with Kenny - I guess it all depends on how you play the game...
    I understood Lily's position throughout.
The story doesn't change much, but the tone of the game and the characters within it sure as hell do.

That, and the fact I didn't have Carley with me in my playthrough (but let's not get into that).

To be honest I was more surprised when Kenny left Lee to die in the barn and in the pharmacy a week later than I was when a mentally unstable Lilly shot a member of her group. I was pissed when Lilly shot Carly but at least I could understand it. She was barely holding on to her sanity and the argument pushed her over the edge. What was Kenny's excuse? When he fucked me over he had everything. His wife and son were alive and well when I was swamped by zombies under the door. He had a gun and he wasn't fighting other zombies at the time, he just watched. Leaving Lee to die is as bad as killing him himself and Kenny was in his right mind. To me that shit is unforgivable. For that I kicked his arse on the train and I would have killed him if the option was available. I got my revenge in episode 4 when he was being dragged by the zombie. I watched him to see how he would get out of it, hoping I would get an opportunity to reference what he did in episode 3 if he questioned why I didn’t help him but christa saved him. Even after Christa saved him what does the ungrateful fuck say when Lee reminds him Christa saved him? He responds saying “Yeah! But what has she done for me lately?” That response sums up Kenny to me. Before Lilly’s break down she was loyal and consistent. That is why she has fans.

Regarding Lilly betraying the group by stealing the RV and outing Lee that was about self-preservation, plain and simple. She was scared of being abandoned on the road side so she would have said anything to be allowed back on the RV. That makes a whole lot of sense. Had she not have felt backed against a wall she would have taken his secret to the grave. She even tells him that she doesn’t judge him for what he did if he tells her in her hotel room because of the good he has done since.

As for her stealing the RV, she had been restrained and believed the group were going to abandon her or kill her so she stole it for her own survival. When she was tied up she questioned what they were going to do with her and got no answer. She commented on them keeping her tied up like an animal. If she was as bad as some people think, she would have killed or at least attempted to kill Lee in revenge when she got free. Lilly fucked up for sure but she didn’t want any trouble after the incident she just wanted the best chance of survival. Who would have a better chance of survival her by herself without the RV or the whole group without the RV? She can be accused of being selfish for taking it but again, given the situation I consider it understandable. A group with 4 armed adults (yes I’m including Ben, in an apocalypse he would be fast tracked to adulthood since even 7 year old Carl was given a gun in the comics to protect himself and the group) have a better shot on the road than a single female with a gun. In fact in my play through if I remember correctly my Lee told her to take the RV.
