( Poll ) do you WANT to see people from the TV Show in season 2? ( poll )

I think this is a shitty idear because the game taking place in the world of the comics is what made me love the game, when i play it i like the feeling that somewhere out there rick and his gang ( from the comics ) are out there doing there thing, so to add add anyone from the TV show and make them LOOK liek them ( Example if they brought Andrea in and made her look like TV show andrea ) it would ruin it for me, im fine with adding a few comic characters for a cameo, but DO NOT ADD TV SHOW CHARACTERS, i hope other die hard comic fans agree on this.

BTW the " yes " choice = yes i would mind, " no " = no i would not mind

Please Telltale I beg you don't put TV characters in the show, the original characters you create are so much better.Don't ruin an amazing game with a silly tie in!

I would absolutely hate this. The game should mostly be independent, although have few references to the comic (like 1 or 2). Don't have cameos, though. But the TV SHOW? "No. NO F***KIN' WAY." -Kenny when you show the bite.

I agree, if they said it was in the comics in the beginning then it takes place in the world of the comics and that is it, it should not be changed just so Daryl can be in it, and yes I like Daryl but we had people like Kenny, Chuck, Lee, and so many new characters that are a lot better then most of the characters on the show anyway.

comic universe, no one from the show exists in this game becasue its in the continuity of the comics even though the game is it own entity. Plus theres already appearances from hershel, glenn and shawn comic book characters. And theres is a reference to the comic in each episode if you pays attention, well not every episode in 400 days there was a picture of dale if you looked

The game's set in the comic universe so no. It wouldn't make sense and would look cheap.

I'm not even keen on comic characters showing up since they have a lot less freedom to write with them and it should stand on it's own where possible.

If TV/comic characters are in game hopefully Shane will be there.

i think they are planning it, but they wont add any TV show characters to the GAME, they will add GAME characters to the TV SHOW? coz after all, the show is based off the comics and the game is part of the comic, so they could actually do that, thats we know they are going to macon, they may meet Lee and clem for one or 2 epoisodes, Kenny too lol

Does anyone think the whole game TV show thing is being talked to death, because I think it is, it might not be as bad as the Carley threads during the dark ages but it's still not good.
  • edited July 2013
I do not want to see Daryl, Merle, or any of them in TT's TWD game. However I don't care so much about the show so if they added some character like Molly, Kenny, Ben, or Lee then you won't here me complaining.

Would make more sense, since the show's based of the comic and the comic is the same universe as the game.

I don't care for the show and if this happens I hope they at least hire actors that fit the part. I don't want an annoying Clementine, or an Omid with no personality.
  • edited July 2013
No TV characters in the game, period, but it would be nice to see game characters in the show, and the new show runner did say he really loved Telltales game, but I would not settle for someone with great talent, which means amazing Kenny, amazing Lee, and Amazing Clementine that is not annoying, and if they did that they should not kill them for sometime, hell they can kill Daryl before Kenny or Clem, but if they somehow do all of that, I would be happy with AMC.

I was thinking maybe instead of adding the videogame characters into the show they could do a web series, I know adding them to the show shows appreciation towards telltale and all, but I feel like webisodes based off the game would be better fit.
  • edited July 2013
They did have two Webisodes before season 2 and 3, so I can see that working well, and the season 2 will more then likely come out at the same time anyway.

Yeah, one of my biggest gripes of the walking tv show is that I didn't like a single character other than Rick and Daryl. In the game, I love almost every character, so if they do make this happen they need to focus on bringing those characters to life and have actors that play them well, if they do that then I'm sure it will be better than expected.

That is a problem, I can count my favorite characters on the show with just my left hand, with the game almost everyone was a favorite, and the ones that were not were not because they were assholes, not because they were badly written, the Walking Dead is a game that deserves the term, ensemble cast without a shadow of a doubt.

You got that right. Even the "bad guy" characters were great. Telltale should be writing for the TV show, they can only manage a few likable characters while Telltale can make even the worst character likable.

I know, it AMC put Nate in the show, I would hate him and want him dead, but the game made him so cool but crazy at the same time it's hard not to like him.
  • edited July 2013
I got to admit I would like to see Molly and Michonne teaming up though...
  • edited July 2013
Lee, Daryl, Molly, Michonne. Ultimate foursome for a zombie apocalypse.
  • edited July 2013
It was definitely odd that the trailer for season 4 of the show specifically showed Michonne pointing to Macon on a map. That location holds no significance in the comics, but we know that is where Lee is from, so that had me thinking. It could end up being a coincidence, but since the game is so popular, I am not discounting the idea of Lee and Clem making an appearance. I'm not sure I would want them in Rick's group though, since there is no way they could ever top the storyline they had in the game, but I gotta admit I would totally geek out if Lee and Clem appear.

Leave characters separate to their own mediums. I don't want Kirkman or the TV show writers messing with the game characters.
  • edited July 2013
    No! Amc stay away!

    Bad AMC!
  • edited July 2013
NO TV CHARACTERS ON THE GAME! They would be granted invincibility, and that wouldn't be fun.

An invincible Andrea and Lori?! Gosh no...

Can we all talk about what someone wrote on The Walking Dead Wikia for a minute.. (thanks to o0HeaDShoT0o for showing me the link)

    It says..

"Telltale plans to tie Season 2 in closer with the television adaptation of The Walking Dead, and is investigating the possibility of creating ties between characters in the television show and those in Season 2."

Errrr, I don't like this at all. What do you guys think about this?

Heres the link by the way, for anyone who wants to read for themselves.

There was recently a thread like this. The Walking Dead Wikia usually has some false info around, but I really hope it's not true. I'm not a big fan of the show, I liked the first season after that it went downhill.
  • edited July 2013
The Walking Dead Wiki is a pretty good for basic information most of the time but it's wise to take everything you see with a pinch of salt unless they give a legit source.

They don't seem to uphold the rules about sources that we see with most other wikis so I'm guessing this is just speculation.

I watched one of the panel discussions and they said they were looking into the possibility of this exact thing happening. I trust them to do whatever they think is best for the game, I really enjoyed meeting Glenn and Hershel in Season 1.
  • edited July 2013
I wouldn't place too much faith in the wiki it changes nearly by the day. I'd trust telltale are wise enough not to make the stupid mistake of messing around with the tv show universe
  • edited July 2013
Well, on of the guys who works on the TV show said he was a fan of Telltale's game, and in the Season 4 trailer, it showed Michonne pointing specifically pointing to Macon on a map. It's definitely a possibility.

I love the TV show but I hope they keep the TV universe seperate from the comic (game) universe.

However if they were going to include, for example someone like Merle, Daryl, etc... who aren't in the comic, and just say that this is them in the comic universe, and Robert Kirkman agreed with it, then I would be okay with that. BUT I would much rather they just leave the universes completely seperate.

Please dont put any characters from the TV show..

Like I previously said, I hope this doesn't happen.

Absolutely NOT I don't want the tv characters in the game, it would spoil it for me since I don't watch the tv show nor do I want to. F*ck the tv show, f*ck this idea to put the tv characters in the game, f*ck that - Justin 400 days quote.
  • edited July 2013
But the thing I will say if Telltale goes through with this:

"GODDAMMIT, BEN! GODDAMMIT GODDMAMMTISNDSDSAJHDSADKAJS WHY???? GODDAMMIT WHY GODDAMMIT F*UCK NO, WHY?!?!?!?!!?"
But let's hope I won't have to yell that out loud.

I have only watched the first season of the TV show and don't even remember most of the characters anymore. I think Daryl is the only one who managed to stick in my head and who I actually rooted for.
In the game I got attached to almost all characters. Even those who I disliked, I found still to be interesting and memorable.

So I would prefer for them not to mix the two and just focus on their great original characters. I wouldn't mind some small hints towards the TV show but please don't put your focus on them. Of course the game could actually make the characters from the show better (since IMO the writing is FAR superior in the game) but they do not have as much freedom with those characters so they could just fall flat on their faces and distract from the original characters.
  • edited July 2013
I'm pretty sure they already said that the comic and the game take place in the same universe so basically putting a TV show character in there especially one that wasn't in the comics like Daryl wouldn't be that great in my opinion.
  • edited July 2013
I'd be ok if there was only one or two and if they were in only one or two episodes.
  • edited July 2013
It wont't spoil the game if they did it but I prefer them NOT to do it.
