LOL they had plenty of time to bury carley, and duck and katjaa.....but no, they didnt, what a bunch of tools lol

    Of course the didn't...
    All those deaths involved Gunshots which started to attract nearby walkers if they hadn't left immediately they would be in serious danger

    They had no time, they did not have a shove, I would have loved to have able to do it but it just could not be done.

    I would have liked to do it, but it's better to just leave then to lose someone else over burying someone.

    Plus, maybe they didn't have the tools to do so. They left the Motor Inn pretty hastily, doubtless they left a lot of stuff behind. And I don't recall there ever being a shovel around there, nor in the RV or the train. Doubt they're gonna just dig holes with their bare hands. It's ironic though, with the only burial in the entire season being a person the group had no connection with. But yes, it did bother me to leave those three bodies behind like that, to rot or get eaten. But what could we do.

    Yeah I felt like when Lee was burying the kid, he was also 'burying' everyone else that he'd lost at that point as well.

    while people have and still do cremate people by just burning them on a pyre, that just isn't part of our culture any more, i think watching your little boy and your wife burn would actually be worse than just leaving them behind, plus it would be impractical, you would have to find firewood, start the fire then zombies would eventually turn up and the funeral would be ruined anyway

    Gunshot = every walker in the vicinity likely headed your way. Burial/cremation? A 'luxury' they cannot possibly afford the time invested in, particularly in the Carley and Kat/Duck situations.

    Risking more of the group to attend to burial custom amidst areas likely rife with undead is moronic.

    well screw you buddy the least kenny could have done was arrange the bodies so that they were togther like mother and son, not just left duck sittin at the tree while his mom lays on the floor 4 foot away.

    Exactly.

    Personally, I'd prefer a cremation though. For me, or family members. I hate burials.

    However, like you said getting a good 'bonfire' (enough to consume most of the corpses) started is going to take more than scraping together some twigs and dry underbrush. They'd be at it for fricking ages and be sitting ducks.

    arranging the bodies after their death would be an act of desperation and denial, leaving quickly was probably what was best for kenny

    If they'd taken the time to do that, something else might have happened. Gunshots and whatnot tend to attract walkers, so any time spent arranging the bodies could have resulted in the undead showing up and Lee, Kenny, or even someone at the train being bitten. It wasn't really worth anyone else dying just to do something for Kat and Duck. It sucks, but you don't risk the living just to respect the dead in that kind of world.

    The thought of burying them crossed my mind before. When Carley died, I was hoping that we'd at least have the option to bring her into the RV and then bury her by the abandoned locomotive with Chuck's shovel. I also wished that Katjaa and Duck would've been given a proper burial. But, it is what it is I guess.
