Wow, there's a lot of stuff in here I didn't think about trying!

    Replay time!

...use the carbon dater on Momma Bosco before ever talking to her?

I found that one when I was trying to avoid causing her to fall for Max, so I could skip part of the game. :p
  • edited April 2008
Me too. Soo much for that, huh? :p

You know, I went back and I was disappointed. You guys should have let us play Bluster Blaster after scaring Young Max away from it. 204 just feels... void without a minigame. Sure, there's the whack da ratz, but that's been around since 103 and it's never been important since.
  • edited April 2008
hmm... i already knew most of those, except for the ones about
    using feathery in various places
when i first played through i was running around like a retarded kid with a pair of scissors trying to sample and scan everything, and i always talk to max before and after anything happens... so sadly most of this list was moot for me this time around
  • edited April 2008
I actually did most of these, maybe it means my brain is starting to work in twisted ways.
I did miss the Featherly one, though
  • edited April 2008
yeah.. there were a lot of miss opportunities in this episode.. i even tried blowing up boscos toilet... no such luck

and i know of a few more that were not even in the list,

    did you...
    try to shoot boscow?
wander around aimlessly in the ufo entrance to hear all the random things boscow says
say goodbye to ms bosco as both sam and max (during the conversation where you try to convince her that max isnt into her)
wander around aimlessly in the beginning of time to hear all the random things mr featherly says while you are carring him
talk to max in the oval office before talking to superball

    Did you try...
Scanning Mr Featherly with the carbon-dater?

    Did you try...
Using the chemical sampler to Mr Featherly?

    Did you try...
Using the chemical sampler to the Moai heads?

    Did you try...
Using the chemical sampler to the mariachis?

I totally agree! We SHOULD have been able to finally play Bluster Blaster!!!

Nobody in the game had any quarters. Max was probably playing the attract loop.

That didn't stop Sam from changing the song on the jukebox in the three episodes previous.

  • edited April 2008
No, if you had no life, you'd make an image post of when Max did that pose.

And he has done that pose, several times. :D
  • edited April 2008
    Hehe, never noticed.

(for the record, I made that pic for a completely seperate Fonzie reference... I didn't boot up GMod just for this thread or anything :p)

    Well
    Future Max
is impervious to stone-age weapons like revolvers; most likely he will be like T2000 in Terminator 2, healing up the bullet hole in seconds.
  • edited April 2008
meh... if i could pick one time out of the whole year that i wish we could actually shoot max, it would be when
    he was a zombie
im still kinda bummed at the comic gold that telltale passed up on that one
  • edited April 2008
omg i just check out the joke about
    Mama Bosco's urinal
i cracked up with laughter :D
    btw did you:
...right click on Mister Featherly when he's in your inventory?
...right click on any object in your inventory in every game?

Er... that's been there since Season 1, IIRC. It's even mentioned in the Season 2 tutorial.
  • edited April 2008
he only said right click to put your gun away, i said right clicking on any object in your inventory
  • edited April 2008
My favorite is the banang joke.
  • edited April 2008
    Did you
Talk to max in every location?
    Did you
    Shoot the Pinata 2 times?

I never tried that, thanks for the hint.
Did you look at the weenies back in the 60s? I really loved that one :D

    Did you

I think I tried all the dates of the month, but can't remember finding anything hidden...

Similar to 104, if you change the date to a holiday, you just get an extra joke from Sam & Max when they announce the date change.

Oh yeah, that's true. I thought he was referencing some more easter egg-sy hidden feature, like how you could
change the date to April 1st in 104 even though it didn't show up as a holiday.
There was nothing like that this time around, right?

I loved how the Passive Aggressive AI personality had a positive effect on Young Max. It would have been cool if the AI had a bi-polar setting as well, like Douglas Adams' Marvin.

    who??

"Come on," he droned, "I've been ordered to take you down to the bridge. Here I am, brain the size of a planet and they ask me to take you down to the bridge. Call that job satisfaction? 'Cos I don't."

    ^this

Although I wouldn't call him bi-polar since he was always just plain depressed.

    Have you
tried sending your past selves from Embarrassing Idol through the elevator three or more times? Some great lines from past Sam when you turn out not to be helpful.

    Did you try...
listening to every line Future Sam has to say?

I love that one! I can just imagine a game based around
    Future Sam
    . It'd be all like
    I can't shoot Max!
even though you were just clicking on the
    B'naaaaaaaaaaaaang!
