Cannot play "Tales of Monkey Island Complete Pack" with Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5.

edited August 2013 in Game Support
I just bought "Tales of Monkey Island Complete Pack" from Steam ( http://store.steampowered.com/app/31170 ), and unfortunately when I attempt to run the game it crashes with an error report window being shown. I am trying to play this game on a 2009 iMac with Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5.

After speeding some time searching it appears that other people have already reported what appears to be similar problems:

It would be greatly appreciated if anyone could get back to me with a workaround or fix that addresses this issue?

I have been trying to get this gameplay issue resolved to no avail. I sent an email on Tuesday, 23 July 2013 12:44 AM to "support@telltalegames.com" and have not received any response regarding this issue.

Are there any other support options available to me?

I also contacted support@telltalegames.com about this issue, though I haven't received any response. Has anyone had experience with the support team, and what the general response time is?

Is there any way to get this issue escalated further?

I am not aware of any other fixes than already mentioned in the threads you linked to.
You can either update to the latest version of OS X, or go back to 10.7.4.

I just received this reply from support@telltalegames.com (10 days after I sent in the support email).
Unfortunately OS X 10.7.5 is not compatible with Tales of Monkey Island. Reverting back to OS X 10.7.4 or earlier, or upgrading to OS 10.8.x will resolve your issue.

So Telltale Games definitely knows about this issue, though it seems that this issue has not be addressed via a fix or workaround. Also, it would be great to know what exactly was causing this issue, rather than a blanket Mac OS X operating system incompatibility statement. What if I upgrade the iMac Mac OS X operating system to a newer version that is also incompatible?

I am a little bit annoyed as I checked the advertised System Requirements before I purchased the game on Steam and it seems they are incorrect. Seem below ( http://store.steampowered.com/app/31170 ).
    Mac System Requirements
OS: Mac OS X 10.5 or later
    Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo
    Memory: 256MB of RAM
Graphics: Not Recommended For: Macs with integrated graphics

Even on Telltale Game's own site the System Requirements are incorrect. See below ( http://www.telltalegames.com/store/talesofmonkeyisland ):
    Mac System Requirements:
Operating Systems: Mac OS X 10.5 or newer
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo processor
Not Recommended For: Macs with integrated graphics

Sadly I have no information on this.
I have heard though, that there is (or was) a savegame issue with the developer preview of OS X 10.9 with The walking dead, so later versions can cause incompatibilities too. I don't know if this affects any of the other games, or if it will be fixed in the final version of OS X 10.9.
