Ironic deaths

edited July 2013 in The Walking Dead
Anyone notice how common this happens in the game? I mean, just take a look:
-Shawn: gets stuck under the tractor because he let Duck drive it
-Travis: repeteadly says his dad was special forces and thought he was smart, only to end up dying in two of the dumbest ways possible
-Mark: insists on going to the dairy because they're running low on food, ends up getting eaten
-Larry: says he'll outlive Lee by a lot, dies a minute later
-The St. Johns: all wanted to eat Lee's gorup, all got eaten by walkers
-Doug: sacrifices himself for Ben believing he's innocent, although he is the traitor
-Carley: tells Lilly to help someone for once, gets shot by her a couple seconds later
-Charles: says that Clem would end up like Duck, died making sure that that didn't happen
-Brie: asks if they get a say in Ben's fate on being left behind or not, is left behind and ends up turning while she was making the question
-Ben: says that if a walker grabs him he's gonna take himself out, when Crawford grabs him, he asks Lee for help, which Lee has the choice of not giving
-Kenny: says you shouldn't kill yourself, practically does that a minute later
-Stranger: says Clem wouldn't hurt a fly, gets determinantly killed by her
-Clyde: says the bus is safe, gets killed in it
-Dee: helps Bonnie go through "rehab", gets killed by her
-Boyd: says they should let Roberto go, gets killed by him and his group
Do you think that'll happen as much in S2?

Kenny's sacrifice, to me, was the most ironic, and seemed out of character. I chose to save Ben on my first playthrough. So there Kenny was, telling us all that you don't give up, no matter what, earning my massive respect, and just minutes later he "sacrifices" himself for no reason at all. What was the point staying behind with Ben only to shoot him? He could have easily shot him earlier, then came back with Lee. This sacrifice scenario I just didn't understand, and on my second playthrough, I'm gonna let Ben die, so Kenny's sacrifice at least has meaning.

Lee said he would protect Clementine and they would live a happy life and then he gets biten and she shoots him

I guess the Christa "death" you will like better, because he really does save someone for a good reason.

    Maybelle said "Mooo" and then....

Doesn't get much more heroic than saving a pregnant woman (in front of the baby's daddy) and then fighting your way through a horde of zombies.

Lee: starts with handcuffs, ends with handcuffs.

    The most ironic one.

Mark said at the beginning of episode 2 that, had he not opened the door to the commissary food supply and joined with Lee and the group, he would "BE food by now"

I think you see where this is going.

He also said "I'd hate to be stuck in a room with him," concerning Larry..

Yes it is, this thread reminds me of what Vernon said once, "We live in a morgue, Irony is always important when planing on were to stay."
