Weapons

edited August 2013 in The Walking Dead
So I was wondering what was ya'lls favorite weopon to use in the game?

Mine, I gotta go with the ax. I mean that ax had some history behind it.

Hilda comes in a close second for obvious reasons.

The monkey wrench, of all of those tools, the wrench is the only one that I know how to use.

    Tear gas Grenade launcher

Banana (the monkey wrench, I nickname my weapons, don't judge :p)

    The axe.

The axe alongside that Leather Jacket in episode 2, BADASS!

If I had a crowbar I wouldn't need any other weapon.

    a bamboo stick :p
fine, i assume it will break, but i belive you can kill a zombie with a blunt weapon, if you can crack the skull, and considering the skull is rotting, it might be easier than it sounds.
basiclly, anything long and light, and does not breaks, i don't care if it's blunt or sharp

    I preferred the axe.

I hope we can get a katana in s2, or a crossbow... or a sledgehammer... or... or...

-_- people I said weapons from the game, not would you want to use. I was thinking of making the thread about that but I didn't want to hear things like tear gas grenade launcher *cough* Hudomonkey *cough*

Lol but it did make me laugh, I'm curious as to how that would be useful in a zombie apocalypse unless your using the launcher itself as a blunt weapon.

I also don't remember seeing a crowbar or a bamboo stick in the game. You know who you are :D

I would so want a crossbow. In my first run of the game I was hoping i'd get to kill a bandit and take his crossbow. All the convenience of a gun, minus the looking around for bullets or worrying about attracting more walkers

    The axe I guess.

Would have preferred a cricket bat.

I should have made a poll for this. If anybody wants to make one maybe a mod can merge this with the poll.

Lee's words are my favorite weapons.

    "Put the gun down bitch!"

Lol if you want to count them as words then in this case Lee committed suicide.

The axe was a thing of legend. Shame the St. Johns took it.

As soon as his axe was gone he was dead within a couple of weeks.

On another note I found out how to put up the poll myself so forget the other comment I put. I forgot to add the Bens' famous hatchet to the list of weapons though.

The handgun. It had some real history to it if you saved Carley.

I can't pick, we need multiply choice.

That's the beauty of this poll. You gotta think hard which weapon you really liked the most. What would you pick if it was multiple choice?
  • edited August 2013
    Shotgun, Ax, and glock,.
  • edited August 2013
Good choices. Just curious, shotgun from episode 1 or 4?

Four, the Ben Tower scene was great, and I just noted I said Ben tower and not bell tower, seems right.

When civilization rebuilds the bell tower shall be renamed The Tower of Ben Paul. But yeah that has got to be the second most badass scene in season 1. The first being Lee slicing and dicing his way to the Marsh House with that epic Armed with Death soundtrack.

I agree, and I thought Telltale could not out badass that scene, well I was happily proven wrong, and yes they should rename that tower the Ben tower, with a plaque that says this is the tower were ether Ben grew balls for two minutes, or were he died in a horrible way.

Absolutely this. My only wish is that I could have killed the Stranger with it, or pass it over to Clem. (I even had a bullet saved from the mansion last stand, in case I needed it). Unfortunately, even if you have Ben to retrieve the gun for you if you drop it, it just disappears later on. That, or you can give it to Kenny. But if you don't, it's never used or even seen since. Maybe the devs didn't anticipate anyone would save a bullet AND the gun till the very end?

Idk I never thought it was Carleys' gun seeing as some people saved Doug. But it's cool to think of it being her gun

I like to just think he gave it to Omid off screen.

I really like the shotgun. Shotguns are pretty freaking cool. But the Fireaxe is a close second.
  • edited August 2013
The axe! Lee was such a badass with it in ep 1 and 2! Too bad the St Johns kept it.
I'm also fond of the screwdriver and the shotgun in ep 1 and 400 Days.

It'd either be the axe or the cleaver for me. The axe looks much more badass, but the cleaver was pretty reliable too and got more head slicing action. Fucked that horde of zombies up. I think I'll take the axe.

Honorable mentions go to the shard of glass for a really badass Lee moment, and the shovel as wielded by Chuck. Old bastard was a monster with that shovel in his hands.

I thought Hilda would get more votes. Great for killing zombies and seemed pretty dang useful.

I know I realized I forgot to put the shovel on this list as soon as I made the poll. Nothing was going to stop chuck while he had that shovel. I wonder how he lost it.

I almost voted for the cleaver too, because it was pretty damn useful. Not just on the horde but also on defending the doors in the mansion. Only reason I didn't pick it is cause it seems you'd be more likely to get bit, it being a small weapon and all. And that shard of glass made me regret cutting Lees' arm off in my original play through.

The glass shard was so badass, it reminded me of Bruce Lee.

It's still in second place, and my second favorite which is a cool coincidence to me. I voted for the axe and didn't realize how many people loved it till I made this poll.

    Season 2
    The return of The Axe

It's the most boss way to fight a battle you don't think your going to win.
  • edited August 2013
But he won anyway, I just thought it showed how much Lee did not give a shit when he grabbed the glass shard and the blood went down the side, badass.
  • edited August 2013
The way he looks at his bite first is really badass and then he picks it up and the blood pours from his hand. And then that epic music. Easily my favorite minute of the entire game. And that's saying a lot since there were only like 1 or 2 dull moments in the game.
  • edited August 2013
I can't even count two dull moments, easily the most badass of all the moments.
