You can kill the Stranger one-handed.

Last night I finished my second playthrough of Season 1.
I found out that you can indeed kill the Stranger yourself after going through with the amputation. Instead of Clementine shooting him, Lee just strangles him to death one-handed.

It may be because I reacted quickly in the fight because I knew what was coming, or because I killed almost everyone I came across in this playthrough and that somehow unlocks it. Its not a glitch because I kept reloading it and it had the same outcome.

So, yeah...

    I guess the stranger doesn't really work out then.

    i usually kill the stranger on my "cut off the arm" playthroughs because to me the extreme attitudes of cutting off your arm and strangling a guy to death seem to go together

    Strangers got those noodle arms. I guess coaching Little League didn't give him the guns he was hoping for

    I guess if he had tried to kick Lee he would have lived, instead those worthless arms were used, what a pity.
