TellTale on Comics and TV Shows

They already started the Walking Dead Game, based on a comic (the series also has a TV show), as well as The Wolf Among Us, also based on a comic. Tgey also made Back to the future games, based on the movies. think they could be good at TV show games too.

They could make point and click choice adventure action games for all kinds of media!

What TV Shows/Comics/Movies/Books would you like to see TellTale cover or make into a game?

Personally, I would like to see a Batman game, although it probably won't happen because its too big and face paced. It would just be awesome to solve crimes with point and clocked and chose investigations, as Batman is the world's "Greatest Detective".

I'd also like to see the TV Show Grimm as a game :D

I'd like to see it if it were done with non-main characters.

That way you avoid the whole "so and so wouldn't do this and that" arguments that usually arise.

Beyond that, there's tons of properties I could see them tapping.

You read my mind! :D :D :D :D I literally came here to say that!!

There's already a thread on this here.

Maybe a mod can merge these.

Agents of SHEILD telltale game would be AWESOME

Why must they rely on other media? I think it might be about time for them to try and craft an original story. If they can deliver a great character based story in the Walking Dead universe, they sure as hell can craft a story of their own. I'd very much like to see something like Quantic Dream's Fahrenheit or Heavy Rain come from Telltale games- as far as I know, they're the only two companies who produce quality games of this merged point and click/decision/quicktime genre. Surely they could make their own world and story. Would also give them more freedom.

I am really sorry to say this, but did you really just say Quantic Dreams made two quality games?
  • edited August 2013
Well yes? Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy and Heavy Rain both received positive reviews from critics and players alike. I have played both games and enjoyed them immensely. Something wrong?
  • edited August 2013
I am not really the biggest fan of those two games, I honestly think Heavy Rain is good, but Fahrenheit, I really do not know what to say, other then what the hell happened to the game I was playing at the end, I loses me toward the end, Heavy Rain is good though.

Heavy rain lost me slightly with its mindfuck reveal. Fahrenheit? Its story was about as confusing as the Matrix. You can sorta see the inspiration too, since shit like that was on the wave back in the day. Still, it was a great game and the story, however incomprehensible, had that distinct epic feel to it that I couldn't help but admire. And it kinda was the first well known example of the genre, so I give it credit there- it showed us that games with minimum interactivity can be just as fun and involving as the standart ones.
  • edited August 2013
It was the first, but it still is really odd to go from murder mystery to Matrix, and the reveal in Heavy Rain made no sense, how is it your thoughts are about finding a killer when you are the killer? It makes so sense.

I'll admit though, I have a weakness for completely batshit insane fantasy like Fahrenheit, when in seemingly normal world completely crazy shit happens. But that's just me. However, those sorts of stories still manage to get large fanbases, so they must do something right.

I can see that, it bothers me to no end but for some it works, not for me though, I do hope there next game is really good.

I'm excited for BEYOND: Two Souls! Ellen Page FTW

What year is Beyond Two Souls anyway, and is going to be PS3 exclusive again, because the only reason I was able to play it was because my friend has a PS3, and it looks good and I do not want to miss it.

I'd rate Indigo Prophecy as one of my top games.... but even I have to admit they dropped the ball at the end.....

The problem with original properties is that you never know if they're going to take off, where established IPs at least give you a curious fanbase to start with.

TTG's still a small fry.... it'd be wise of them to play it safe.

They should play it safe, only takes risks sometimes, not all the time.

I believe it's later this year, and PS3 exclusive

GODDMMIT BEN, well shit looks like I am going to have to take a weeks vacation in Colorado at that rate, and it's coming out this year to? Damn, this is the year of major games, Bioshock Infinite, The Last Of Us, GTA5, Beyond Two Souls, Watch Dogs, Walking Dead season 2, and more I am forgetting about, finding GOTY is going to be hard.

As well as Batman Arkham Origins, Assassins Creed 4 and GTA V!!! My mind says yes but my wallet says no! So many good games coming out!!!

I know, a Assassins Creed game that looks a ton better then 3, which was not a bad game, and another Batman game, it's safe to say this year is quite a bit bigger then last year, as all I can remember was Dishonored, Walking Dead, Mass Effect 3, and Assassins Creed 3, not a long list.
  • edited August 2013
And on top of that, I have to somehow squeeze the studying in between all these games. Not sure how I will manage this Fall though...

And I forgot for FPS people Battlefield 4 and COD Ghosts comes out, I could not care less about Ghosts but Battlefield 4 looks pretty good, and there is Saints Row 4 is a few weeks, I mean it we are being overloaded with games this year.

    Now we're getting off topic
Mario & Luigi: Dream Team and Animal Crossing were good as well
    Wonderful 101 will be good

I'm playing those games right now! Not at this moment in time but currently. My life is an endless black hole of nothingness where I spend my day playing games.

Those two, and we might be getting good games for the WiiU really soon, and the next gen consoles are here in November, it might be the busiest year of gaming in my life, and I have not even started talking about DLC for some the games that have come out already.

With the game being my favorite version of the Walking Dead, I'm still open to the idea of attempting more original IPs.

Then again, I've heard people talking about what a Telltale game set within the setting of A Song of Ice and Fire would be like. I'm admittedly intrigued by concept.

Well if they were to make a Game of Thrones game, well they can't possibly do worse then the two we already have.

Sherlock Holmes game? Detective games are great!
  • edited August 2013
That would not be a bad idea, I can see point and click elements in there.

I would love a good Games of Thrones Game, such a great franchise.

I know, it reminds me a lot of Walking Dead in the way it deals with it's characters.

Pretty much, I knew it was going to happen, I never read the books but I knew people would die but... That second to last episode was nothing short of fucking evil, and you know what I mean.
