If Lilly would kill Ben on the road

edited August 2013 in The Walking Dead
Hey guys !

first of all im a Lilly fan but I dont have problem with Kenny eaither, just want to hear your opinion.

in the videos of "playing dead" in episode 7 telltalle did said that Carley was a fan favorite character so in my opinion thats why Lilly gets so much hate, because of the person she killed.

now lets say that on the RV we know duck was bitten and Lilly is looking for the guilty, ben confess and die.
is Ben a huge fck up? yes and thats why he also gets a lot of hate.
so if Lilly would kill him nsted after all he done and the deaths he caused, would you hate her like she killed carley? because 27% of the players killed ben in crawford..just saying :P

so what do you think?

I would still have hated Lilly, even if Ben said he did it, she would have know right to go on and play judge jury and executioner, it would have been put to a vote if Lilly was not to fly off the handle, which is what she would have did.

No I would not hate her you got to do what you can to survive even if it means murder. And he is useless.

She probably wouldn't get as much hate if she had actually killed the traitor who had admitted...
I mean Kenny didn't get that much hate for demanding Lee to Drop Ben...
Also 33% of people did drop Ben...
She would get some hate but I doubt as many people would actually abandon her...

It'd still be a snap execution and complete bullshit.

Additionally, firing a gun at someone that close to others was fucking stupid.

I would have still been disgusted with her either way.

if I remmember right around the 55% let her in the RV and 11%took her offer to escape, but yeah I 100% agree with you on the Kenny part, but I dont think more ppl would leave her

    More people would have lived.

and crawford school was clean from ppl that "just found the axe" ;)

I would still hate her because of it, just not as much because I prefer Carley much more than Ben. I would still leave her behind though.

Ehkay, you totally edited you sly devil.

Of course Lilly was paranoid (I'll add rightfully pissed off and numerous other things) but I don't think she was that far gone that her actions can be justified/excused.

she was paranoid and right at the same time, she saw missing supplies and knew exactly what was the case, and blamed the person who did it. and after losing her only family and the killer(s) are walking around in her shelter and talking about leaving AFTER they killed her dad, pissed off is a gentle word :P

True, but I did say "numerous other things" ;)

No, it wouldn't have made her actions any better if it was Ben.
I also don't think it was cool to traumatize Clem, murdering any group member in front of her.

If you are talking about traumatizing Clem...
    Kenny has that covered...

I might have considered letting her back on the RV if she killed the actual traitor. That would still make her unstable, but at least shown that she MEANS it when she says she has the group's best interest in mind- killing a person who's dead weight, as opposed to Carley. And yes, I wouldn't be half as mad. Maybe even not at all. I never really did care for Ben.

Speaking of this, yeah, Kenny seems like the guy who insists on that. I mean, wow, I was just doing a second playthough, where I didn't take Clem to Crawford and dropped Ben. When we returned, Kenny straight up told everyone in front of Clementine that we left Ben behind. He also made an effort to make it sound like I straight up murdered him. I mean, really, Ken? Do YOU have any idea what it means to talk to a kid? I don't believe this is the same guy who asked me if I knew what I was doing with Clementine back in episode 1.

Maybe.. But Kenny did that to stop an immediate threat. I won't lie, the meat locker was a traumatizing moment, but at least Clem understood why the violence was necessary, that they were about to be eaten alive if nobody finished off Larry. He was already dead, they were making sure he didn't turn. Do you think there was any reasonable way to explain to Clem why Carley deserved to have her brains blown out so suddenly?

I guess you could argue that Lilly was trying to keep the group safe too, when she straight up murdered Carley or Doug, but we will never see eye to eye on that if it's the case.

I abandoned Lilly because she killed Carley out of nothing but pure resentment. This dangerous level of emotional instability is unacceptable in any member of my group, so I had no choice but to leave her on the road.

Now if she had killed Ben after he confessed, I would still be mad at her but I would not have abandoned her. Even though Ben is just a kid who didn't really know what he was getting into, he still put the group in an assload of danger by dealing with the bandits.

So if Ben confessed on the side of the road and Lilly subsequently killed him, I would be unhappy... but I would definitely understand. But instead, Lilly killed Carley for no reason other than enmity, and that kind of behavior is unacceptable in my group.

No. She still would've decided to execute one of their own right then and there. And I actually liked Ben even if he was an idiot (ignoring the Looney Tunes-esque removal of the axe in Crawford).

By the way in my first playthrough I saved Doug. Though I also didn't ditch Lilly on the side of the road if only because that too was basically a death sentence right there. She should've been kicked out at least.

lol all the Kenny lovers here celebrate with Lilly hate..
my point is will you personatly hate lilly if she killed ben insted of the "fan favorite character"?
and for the record I think that Kenny is way wrose then Lilly

In my opinion she snapped due to no one confessing if Ben had actually admitted it I'm not sure what her reaction would be or what she would have done... I actually yelled at ben to tell her it was him even though I thought it wasn't him purely to stop the situation snowballing.

I would have abandoned her anyway. She executed a group member after everyone else had voted for her to stop her inquisition. She's basically saying "We do things MY way now, I don't care what any of you think." It's just as wrong as shooting Carley or Doug.

I will leave her out on the road, and be happy Carlee will be now :)

Who exactly told her to stop? as lee u can side with her or not and kenny didnt even vote if you remember the "just give me a damn minute !" so yeah, nothing was on "its my way or the high way"

Until one of them inevitably dies. Didn't see their story ending happily :( Not in this fucked up universe. Still, it was cut way too short.

Well... For me, she killed Doug on accident, and up until that point, I had been on her side, so, out of shock, I let her back on the rv. If given one more second, though, I would've left her. Even if it was Ben.
